Raymond D. - Cascade Division Prayers

Greetings Friends,

I hope this email finds you resting well after a good Sunday of worship and service!

Today we forward a report of one of the ways Captains Micheal and Rachel Johnson are serving their communities in the Bend area during this past week:

Yesterday the Bend Corps was able to deliver 40 food boxes to a senior apartment complex where many are on quarantine and we learned that 3 of the residents we gave boxes to had and then recovered from the Coronavirus. It was a blessing how a new Advisory Board member recognized this need, our staff organized it, and our volunteers made it happen. It’s been amazing that for every routine avenue and method of worship and service this time of social distancing has “taken away,” God has opened up new ones. We are blessed!!”

Matthew 10:42 informs us, “And whoever gives one of these little ones even a cup of cold water because he is a disciple, truly, I say to you, he will by no means lose his reward.”

Lets pray,

Lord, we thank you for this day of worship and praise, a day we spread your Gospel and hear the Word. A day of prayer and singing. A day of gathering in new ways for corporate worship. Prepare us now for the week to come. Point the way and give us the rest we need to answer your call on our lives.

We thank you for the ministries of Captains Micheal and Rachel Johnson. Bless their efforts and may they result in people entering into a personal relationship with you. Give safety and health to the people they brought food boxes too and we celebrate the return to health of the three people who recovered from the virus! May those recoveries be multiplied time and time again. And may those recoveries bring glory and honor to you. Thank you for the Advisory Board member, the staff, and the volunteers who made this distribution of food and love possible. May they grow closer to you because of it.

Lord, we ask for safety, health, strength, courage, and your leading during this changing and difficult time in our lives. Thank you for the many officers and their people who work for you throughout the division. Most of all, we thank you for the salvation offered through Jesus Christ.

Amen.

I encourage you to keep sending your stories and photos in to Captains Fabio, Silvia, and me so that we can better pray for you and so that we all can celebrate the victories in your corps, programs, and communities!

God Bless,
