Silvia F. - Cascade Division Prayers

Dear friends,

While we still navigating this new normal, and learning how do operate our programs, tonight we will share a praise report from The Salem Kroc Center from Lt. Quinton Markam.

“Bianca our youth workers is currently doing food donation pick ups from local stores and food box delivery to those in our community who are most vulnerable and unable to leave their house for safety reasons or due to a lack of transportation.

Here is what Bianca had to say about what she has been enjoying in this role so far:

“It has been really impactful in my life to deliver food boxes to seniors in our community who are stuck in their homes all day and who struggle to interact on social media. While maintaining 6 feet of distance during these food drop offs, I am able to have short conversations with them about how they’re doing. They are so grateful to talk with someone, even for this short amount of time. Mental illness isn’t just for the young. Many of our seniors are experiencing depression, especially those who live alone, and it’s nice for them to see something or someone other than the walls that surround them.”

She continued, “Often, I’m their only form of communication during this time and it’s nice that The Salvation Army has made it possible for me to be able to be there for them. Really, the food box isn’t even what’s most important to these seniors; it’s the interaction that truly brings them joy.”

We are so grateful for people like Bianca, for being a light and help in our communities and doing what we can to help those in need. It is very much appreciated!

Let’s pray;

Dear heavenly father, we are thankful for who you are. We thank you for your love and sacrifice. Father we cannot do what we are doing in our communities without you. Tonight we came before you to ask for your blessings upon your people. Father be with each one of our officers, staff and volunteers. We pray for peace of mind and spirit. Please renew their strengthens and give them the joy and passion to serve you in their communities. We also thank you again for all the wonderful things that you have done for us.

We also want to lift up the Salem Kroc center leadership, Lt’s Quinton and Deana Markham and Lt. Laura Fyn. Father continue to use them and give them the assurance that you are always with them. Please provide their needs and give them wisdom and direction to lead their people. Thanks again for their obedience. In Jesus name we pray,

Amen!
