Phoenix- Fire Tragedy - 5 children dead

PHOENIX — Five children, including 4 siblings, were horrifically killed after a northwestern Arizona house fire broke out over the weekend as the father was out Christmas and grocery shopping, officials said.

Investigators said Tuesday they have yet to determine what started the blaze in Bullhead City, Arizona, which began Saturday evening in the downstairs foyer area of the two-story duplex. Flames and smoke traveled up the only staircase inside the home, preventing the victims from escaping.

Five children died as a result. Police said there were no adults home at the time of the blaze.

According to Bullhead City officials, the man reported to investigators responding to the fire that he was gone for about 2.5 hours.

Lake Havasu City and Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives Fire investigators are investigating the incident. Evidence was collected to help determine the cause of the fire, and the debris analysis will be conducted by ATF chemists and electrical engineers.

The names of the five victims were withheld pending official identification by the Mohave County Medical Examiner’s Office. They included a 4-year-old girl and her three brothers – ages 2, 5, and 13 – and an 11-year-old boy who was a family relative and visiting at the time.

Hey. This is my first time posting on here. I need a prayer. I've been being attacked by Satan for the last 3 months. I'm spiritually, physically, and emotionally exhausted. He has been attacking me saying I'm not good enough for my wife, she will just leave me, I'm not a good enough man for anything, I'm worthless, and so on. I don't sleep well, I don't hardly eat (even my wife has noticed), I cry just driving to work each morning. I am being absolutely ripped apart right now. I just started going to church again (had a hard time finding a good church where I live). I'm going to start a Bible study with some friends of mine, and I still volunteer at church camp as a counselor when I can. Please pray for me

Merry S. - Family / Child PTG

Thank you to all who came out to support Mark and Natasha in the loss of Ozias.  Thank you to the Salvation Army Renton for all they did to make everyone comfortable and well fed.  We are blessed by God’s people in all ways.  Please continue to pray for Mark and Natasha as they continue to heal and move forward in life.
Blessings to you all!

Nancy H. - Need Toys

Would you mind saying a prayer that the Lord would provide enough toys for us to serve the families that have signed up for Christmas here in Great falls?🙏

I've done what I know to do and tried all I can and have prayed many times. I've heard a number of times now, from our main volunteers who sort, that we don't have enough at this time. It's been making me anxious the whole season and Thursday is the day. I appreciate you all 💜

Susan D. - Family / upcoming Surgery

After a little over two years, we have a surgery date for Pete.  He will be having his reversal surgery on Friday, January 19, 2024 at 7:30 am.  We are trying to prepare as much as possible for this. Praying for a successful surgery with the least recovery time as all financials will be completely on me.   Praying that the surgeon is ready, that Pete is ready and his body is ready to be back to normal.  Thank you everyone that has checked on us during this journey.  I am praying for easier times as I have faced many hard challenges since the beginning of 2021, losing my mom to cancer April 2021, Pete having emergency colostomy surgery November 2021, my dad passing January 2022 and myself having emergency hernia surgery Dec. 1 2023.  I am ready for easier days.

Thank you all for the love and prayer support.  I am truly blessed to have you all in my life.

Nancy D. - Granddaughter Addison's Health

Major Dennis E. reported today that their “granddaughter Addison is in the Children’s Hospital in Orange County. She has a large lump on her chest, and they think it’s either twisted veins from an infection or possibly cancer. She is only 20 months old so you can understand the concern of our family. She is such a sweet girl. We are asking for prayers from our Salvation Army family. Thank you and God bless you.”

It is so hard when a little child is ill, and we fervently ask each of you to join with Major Dennis and Captain Adrianna as they pray for this little gift of God in their family.

Rochelle N. - Housing

I have never been a person who wanted to live off the system at all, and I do not judge anyone who does or will but I could use some prayers that my name comes up on the housing list because it would make a lot of relief for me and my kids! It could make me afford to finish my educational goals to eventually make more $ to support us, and quit frankly help me not have to work around the clock and stress out all the time. All the prayers would be appreciated for this to happen! I have been on the list nearly 3 years without a call….also, I am so grateful to not be homeless and that God has provided all this time!

Teresa E. - Husbands Health

Update : 12/1

Good news coming here. Chuck is still feeling tired and weak but he's been awake all day minutes the 2 or 3 minutes he dosed off in his chair. His cough is calmer for the most part and he is finally negative for covid. We've been on the phone all day trying to schedule follow up appointments. Chuck goes through the VA for his medical, which has always been a huge pain in the butt to try to get them to cover outside bills BUT sacred heart now bills VA directly and gets authorization for outside services all through the epilepsy clinic. It was alot easier this time.

-----------------------------------------------------------------

Update:

Chuck should be coming home tomorrow. He will be on high dose keppra and following up with a neurologist that specializes in epilepsy. She really thinks this was caused by covid and once the infection clears, he could be fine. Neurologist will probably be about a month out. She said it doesn't happen alot but she's seen it happen with covid, even with people who are vaccinated. We will find out what the neurologist says and they will probably have him taper down on the keppra and do repeat EEG's after each time they taper down.

______________________________________

Update: I just called to check in at the ER and they confirmed he is now getting IV fluid and drinking water. 🙌

I got a chance to check in with the neurologist while I was with Chuck. His exam was better and he was more coherent. He didn't remember what year it was. He thought it was 1990 something but the neurologist said its perfectly normal for someone new to seizure medication and to seizures to be confused and sleepy. He was able to talk to me most the time I was there. His tests are coming back normal, all except for covid, which was negative at home on Thursday but positive in the hospital today. His kidney, liver, heart and lung functions are fine. His spinal tap was fine. He has no meningitis but they are waiting for cultures, which she suspects will come out normal. He also has not been getting fluids at all, so I made them bring him water and requested they do IV fluids. We are all very scared. The good news is that the kids and I are testing negative for covid. The bad news is, since he won't be able to drive until he is 6 months without a seizure, he can't work at his current job. They told him to come back when he was better and seizure free and he would have a job. Please continue to pray for chuck's health and for us financially. I appreciate everyone's prayers and love.

Can I please be honest… guys I’m/we are getting tired. We are back up at Barnes Hospital and they admitted me once again! Been here going on two days 🤦‍♂️ I/we are so ready to live a normal life once again. Never in all my life would I have dreamed at 39 I’d be in the hospital with liver failure smh 🤦‍♂️… But here we are going through this very nightmare that I’ve watched others endure from the opposite end and giving them the best advice I knew how… also with the skepticism thoughts in my mind as to why they had cirrhosis…. Etc
Anyway we continue to feel your prayers… please pray that we can get a handle on the hepatic encephalopathy…
Also pray for my Best Friend Missy McClure who stays by my side just as long as they’ll let her.
God knew I needed a best friend like her!
Pray for Connor Ross and Zayne too…
Connor and my mother-in-law Jo Jo James Prichard if it wasn’t for your guys help we’d be in big trouble.

Pray for your Pastors/Christian Mentors

Taken from a social media Post.
‐----------------------------------------------------------------

Being a pastor is classified in the four most difficult professions.

This because a pastor should be:
•Preacher
•Example
.Parent
•Spouse
•Advisor
•Speaker
•Planner
•Minister
•Visionary
•Director
•Mentor
•Friend
•Daycare
•Reconciliation maker
•Marriage counselor
•Youth Counselor
• Leader trainer
•Teacher of the Bible
• Intercessor ,etc.
• Church Bearer
• Taxi driver
• Cleaning staff
• Leader of Praise and worship
• A/V operators
• Landscapers
• Handyman/ or women
• The 1st to arrive and the last to leave

Every Pastor constantly faces criticism like:
● I don't like the sermon
• is that because it’s to close to home?
● The service is very long
• It is cutting into my worldly plans!
● Prayers are long
• I asked for my prayer not the rest!
● Pastor's children are not an example.
• you should be perfect, so shall they!

One of the most difficult things in a pastor's life is knowing that the people they love betray them constantly.

Pastor is often the loneliest person in the congregation.

You can see a pastor being surrounded by people, but very rarely people who are interested in their problems, needs or even in their lives. And let's not say the demands congregations put on Pastors' children.

For this I would like to give you some advice: If you have a pastor or have as friends children of Pastors take care of them, protect them, pray for them always,
connect to their vision, support them, support them, but most of all, love them.

📖 Jeremiah 3:15 says:
“And I will give you shepherds according to mine heart, which shall bear you with knowledge and understanding. ”

So take care of them because "they watch over your souls as those who should pay attention"
Hebrews 13: 17

Let's honor the lives of all those men and women of God who have sacrificed so much including some of their family's needs to attend God's call.

Value the time a pastor dedicates to you, you don't know how much their own family would value that time.

Pray for us, extend grace, talk to us and not about us, love as we love, we are also saved by Grace, the same that you are! God’s grace, love and a relationship are what we all need in a world as todays!

Debbie B. - Health

This was a big week in my battle with cancer. On Thursday I saw the surgeon PA and she decided to remove the drain even though the fluid levels were slightly higher than she wanted. (I was 4 1/2 weeks with it.) I am to keep the armpit padded for 5 days to keep it from swelling. Will have a follow up on Wednesday.
Then I met with the radiation doctor and team.
Today I got to shower for the first time since the last surgery. What a wonderful feeling to be clean.
I am in the preventative maintenance phase of this battle.
Thanks for your prayers and support. Get those check ups and mammograms .

Marianne V. - Health

Tomorrow is a big day for my health. I’m going to do my second year check up cancer test. I’m little bit nervous, but I’m trusting God no matter the result. So far He is been faithful and He is showing me his love through my staff, they knew I was feeling nervous this couple days, and all my staff ( we are missing some on the picture) wrote in big card words of encouragement and love!  I mean…….🥹💕 I’m so grateful that God put me here in Bryan College Station, I can feel every day the love and the care from our staff and not only for me but for my entire family!                                                        The only thing that is in my heart and mind right now is: “I’m in HIS hand whatever the future holds, I’m in HIS hand “

Please pray for Jim’s Echo test today! Most of you know he had the widow maker over 15 years ago!  By God’s Grace and an amazing cardiologist  Dr Susan Jensen he survived with only a stent! Over the years he has done well with a few more stents!  His last echocardiogram  showed muscle decline so he was put on Entresto  and a strick plant based cardio program!  He has his test today to see if there’s been improvement !  He exercises and eats faithfully the plant based diet!  We believe with God’s special touch he will get a good report!  We are leaving for London in a few days to see our new granddaughter  Sofia rose!  Thanks in advance for joining me in prayer and to the God who is so faithful and is our healer!!!

Pray for Afghanistan - Earthquake

Another strong earthquake shook Afghanistan Wednesday morning just days after two major earthquakes in the area killed thousands of people and flattened buildings.

The 6.3 magnitude earthquake occurred in the northwest region of the country, 17 miles outside of Herat, and was nine miles deep, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.

Herat's regional hospital received 117 people with injuries from the earthquake, Doctors Without Borders

It flattened all 700 homes in the Chahak village, which was untouched by the previous earthquakes, The Associated Press reported. People in the village have taken shelter in tents and are scared of potential aftershocks.

"So far, over 90% of those reported killed by the earthquake are women and children. And just this morning, another 6.3-magnitude quake shook the western provinces,” UNICEF Afghanistan posted.

The earthquake on Saturday, 25 miles northwest of Herat City, was one of the deadliest earthquakes to strike the country, the AP reported. A Taliban government spokesperson said Sunday that 2,000 people died and many more sustained injuries.

The quake was followed by three aftershocks with magnitudes of 6.3, 5.9 and 5.5. People attempted to dig out the dead and possible survivors from beneath collapsed buildings on Sunday with their hands.

Earthquakes are common in Afghanistan, where there are a number of fault lines and frequent movement along tectonic plates. The area is still reeling from a 6.5 magnitude earthquake that hit it in March, along with nearby Pakistan, and another in June that killed 1,000 people.

Pakistan has offered assistance to the area but supplies have yet to be shipped out, the AP reported.

Johnathan M. - Health

Well I’ve been debating this. But wanted to be raw with everyone.
First of all I finally made it out of hospital today.
They don’t have a liver doctor and said they done all they can do.
They did the drain as I mentioned… but they found Bacteria in the fluid which caused me to be on the brink of being septic.
I felt like I was poisoned… on top of all the other stuff I was going through I felt and still kinda feel just blah.
So it was such a blessing and such a relief once the drain happened… but I still am fighting the bacteria In my body as we speak.
I didn’t want to offend anyone but that is why I kinda distanced myself and wouldn’t allow visitors… I was very I’ll and had a hard time even smiling.
I still am as well.
But if I’ve offended anyone please don’t be. I love you guys .
With that said…
Everyone knows I’ve been on a weight loss journey.
I started in April and weighed in at 333lbs.
Two weeks ago I was at 262lbs and as of today I’m 233. Lost 29 lbs in two weeks 😬

I couldn’t eat drink or hardly had energy… it’s been a rough ride.

Good news is I lost allot of weight quickly.
Bad news is… it malnourished me 😂😂😂

Also they found more blood clots in my spleen and changed my status to Decompensated liver failure.
“I Already know what some of you all are thinking… trust me… I’m just being raw here and sharing what has been told to us by doctors … God Trumps Doctors…

I’m still rough guys but I’ve kept the faith and my inner man is ready to get back after it!
But this will be a slow journey back to health.
Cool part is my amazing Christian Doctor at Mercy himself said… get plugged into Barnes and Washington University ASAP

So… that’s our goal.
To keep moving forward… keep the faith and to fight to get the health care and insurance I need to get back on track!

Please hear me… I believe in healing… and if you don’t think I want to be healed your smoking the good stuff… 😳 but at this moment we are doing everything we can spiritually and physically.

I have peace and I do believe I will be healed.
I also believe he’s using me as a missionary to speak to doctors nurses etc in multiple different cities throughout MIssouri.
I don’t have the answers… and neither did Job or his friends.
Please keep praying… please keep fanning our flames and reminding us of the promises of God.
I love you all more than you’ll ever know.

Job 1:21 And he said: “Naked I came from my mother’s womb, And naked shall I return there. The Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away; Blessed be the name of the Lord.”

Steffany's Daughter Update

Thank you for all your prayers and for all your love, my friends. Rain is ok. Hopefully we are closer to a diagnosis so she can manage this.

Darlene's Niece Jenn Update

Update:
Jenn is almost off the IV drip and her doctor is encouraged at her levels so far today.
Her cancer is Stage 3, which means it was centrally located with no lateral lymph node cancer.  Likely no metastasis.
Her next step is to receive radioactive iodine to determine metastasis yes or no. That will be in about 6 weeks, as her body needs to heal.
Due to her age and what they found in surgery,  she is expected to live a normal life.

Darlene R. - Niece Jenn's Health

Heavenly Father, It is so hard to watch Jenn suffer. It doesn’t seem fair for her to have to endure so much pain. Even though I am powerless, I believe that you are powerful and capable of stepping into this situation and completely altering the outcome. In faith, I am responding to the promises in your word that you listen to our prayers and those prayers can make her well. So, I am bringing my niece before you to ask for your healing touch in her life. Thank you for the forgiveness of sin and the promise of eternal healing, but I am asking you to provide healing for her on this side of heaven. Amen.

Roof collapse - 11 dead

A church roof collapsed in northeast Mexico, leaving eight adults and three children dead, officials said. The deceased were all members of the same family who were attending a 1-year-old’s baptism.

Some 300 people had been in the sanctuary for Mass at a Santa Cruz church in Ciudad Madero on Sunday, moments before the roof collapsed, leaving 100 people injured and dozens trapped. By Monday evening, authorities had cleared the site and revealed the number of deceased, saying no other victims were found.

Monica Segura, who was standing near the church when its roof fell Sunday, said the collapse "happened in a matter of seconds" when a "beam fell and immediately the roof fell."

"I was trapped," Segura said. "I had my other (2-year-old) baby in my arms. Someone helped me get the baby out and I was able to get out a window and then we returned to look for my other girl. She was trapped in the rubble." She said her 1-year-old nephew suffered a broken arm.

Jim G. - Wife Rachel's Update

Good news from Rachel's ocular oncologist; her tumor (after radiation therapy has shrunk from 6 mm to 5.09 mm. We are grateful for the medical technology which can make this happen. She has another appointment in a couple of months to continue to check on progress. Tomorrow she has a full body scan again (every 4 months) to be sure the cancer has remained stagnant. Prayers continue to be appreciated, and we know that we have a God who both wept with Mary and Martha, and also restores the blind, and loves us despite our difficult nature's. We thank you all for continued prayers.

For the amazing initiative of the 50th Anniversary Flag Tour and the Community Projects that are happening. Just like the lead up to the Olympic Games there is a torch that is passed around the country, Fiji are taking the Army flag from corps to corps leading up to their 50th Anniversary Celebrations. As part of this each corps has worked on a project to benefit their community (See Facebook – Salvation Army Fiji 50th Anniversary for pictures and information)

Recently close to 750 children met across Fiji to learn about God through Camp in a Box. Children joined together at their local corps and participated in games and teaching provided by the Divisional Children’s team.

Prayer
Plans and preparation for the General’s visit in December to celebrate 50 years of The Salvation Army in Fiji. This will be attended by officers and some soldiers from Tonga and Samoa also.

That the focus provided by the 50th Celebrations will bring a fervour and excitement for reimagined mission in Fiji that will see more people come to Christ.

Tonga
Praise
For lives changed from the 10 day “Man Up” Camp being held in Vava’u in August. The men had to travel 24 hours by boat to get to Vava’u and 24 hours back again but were still able to enjoy rich fellowship and deep spiritual teaching about what it means to be a godly man of faith in todays world.

Prayer
That the regional theme of “Reset”, and the Corps Action Plans will see greater mission impact throughout Tonga.

For ongoing funding for the Alcohol and Drug Services which is so vital to the Region

Samoa
Praise
For the opening of the new facilities in Apia and the positive impact that has had on the congregation and the local community.

For the group of up to 40 children and adults who meet weekly to faithfully pray for their corps and their nation.

Prayer
For wisdom in developing the new land and facilities for greatest mission impact

For ongoing funding for the Alcohol and Drug Services which is so vital to the Region

Kari R. - Husbands - Surgery/Health

July 2nd. We knew something was off. Three months in. Several specialists. Two epidurals. Multiple nerve meds. Minimal relief.

Exhausted. Eric insists on preaching. His studies and teaching keeps him grounded, while remaining connected.

Taking care of a loved one is taxing. There’s an undercurrent of low grade anxiety. The helplessness leads to hopelessness. Not every day. Just the harder ones.

Surgery tomorrow morning. Depleted, I turn to God. And The Father reminds me of how He has taken care of everything. He has brought in practical support. Friends to prayerfully uplift. Christ’s PEACE to carry us through. Truly grateful.

Pray for Libya - 2K dead and Thousands missing

Thousands are feared to have died in floods that engulfed Libya’s east after Storm Daniel smashed into the North African country, swallowing whole neighborhoods and, with them, an unknown number of residents.

The city of Derna has been most acutely affected, after raging torrents of water tore through two dams and swept entire buildings into the sea. Othman Abdul Jalil, health minister and spokesman of the U.N.-recognized government in western Libya, told local television channel al-Masar that the situation continues to deteriorate in the eastern city, and at least 2,000 people have been found dead.

“I expect numbers of dead will rise to 10,000,” he told the channel early on Tuesday. The final death toll remains unknown, as many parts of the city remain inaccessible, he said. Derna is estimated to have had around 90,000 residents.

Pray for Morocco - More than 2400 people died from earthquake

A devastating earthquake has left more than 2,400 dead and thousands injured in Morocco, prompting international aid efforts and a response from Christian groups Convoy of Hope and Operation Rescue, among others.

The epicenter of the 6.8-magnitude quake was in the High Atlas mountains, about 45 miles southwest of Marrakech, making it the strongest earthquake to hit Morocco in 120 years, according to media reports.

Many fatalities are in hard-to-reach areas south of Marrakech, Sky News reported, adding that there are fears one such town could record 2,000 deaths alone. As of early Monday, the official toll stood at 2,497 confirmed dead and at least 2,059 people injured, including 1,404 seriously hurt.

Convoy of Hope is mobilizing to provide essential resources to the affected areas, according to its press release, which says the organization aims to deliver food, water, hygiene supplies, shelter, blankets, and generators to survivors.

Bob Louangamath Promoted to Glory Kroc Tribute

It is with great sadness that we share with you the recent passing of Major Bob Louangamath, the Administrator and Corps Officer/Pastor at The Kroc Center.
Major Bob and his wife, Major Joanne, came to serve at The Kroc Center in July of 2021. In that short time, the Majors became beloved by members and staff alike for their grace, sensitivity, and kindness toward all they met.

Major Bob was a warm-hearted, funny soul, and all of us at The Kroc Center are mourning his passing. He was a man of God, a loving husband and father of two girls, a leader and helper in his community, and a friend to everyone he met. He could make anyone feel appreciated, and loved getting to know people. His energy rarely ran out, and when he wasn’t problem-solving and socializing in The Kroc Center, he put the same excitement into hobbies like woodworking, gardening, cooking and electronics.

One of his favorite stories to share was how, when he was a child immigrating to the United States, his family received a food box, and he was given a jacket by The Salvation Army. He never forgot this kindness and went on to serve as an officer in The Salvation Army for 28 years, providing hope and faith to communities in California and Oregon including Stockton, Santa Cruz, Santa Clara, Whittier, Santa Fe Springs, Los Angeles, Santa Maria, Happy Valley, Rancho Palos Verdes, and in Suisun City serving Solano County.

Major Bob received his ultimate healing, surrounded by family and friends, sharing scripture, and singing praise; a final promotion to glory.

Major Joanne and the girls are so thankful for their Army family, and the prayers, texts, and love during Major Bob’s brief illness. They will continue to need our prayers and support in the days and months ahead.

John 11:25-26
Jesus told her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Anyone who believes in me will live, even after dying. Everyone who lives in me and believes in me will never ever die.”

Rachel G. - Eye Healing

It has now been 6 months that I was diagnosed with OM. I have had a busy 6 months, with PET scans 2 surgeries, 24/7 radiation for a week, blood tests, full body exam for skin cancer.  And a Photo Dynamic Therapy.

During this month God has been present. It has not been easy, but so many people have kept me in prayer and has been present in my life to help.

I don't know the future, this Friday, I need an ultrasound on my liver. At the end of the month my tumor will be measured again. In the middle of September, another MRI and chest xray servalance. I was overwhelmed medically on Friday but God continues to comfort me through people.

My eye, at times, has very limited vision, like today. At times it does better. It continues to open more. the flashes are worse since my last procedure, I believe thatvis good. I think that as the tumor shrinks fluid leaks out and affects the cones and rods in my eye. This then creates the flashes when light lands on them. I also seem ti be more tired. Saturday. I just rested and then I feel lazy. Pray that I can just be still. I have to keep reminding myself that my body continues to fight the cancer in my eye.

God is still God, and he continues to give me strength.

Ann S. - Mom PTG

Sometimes the Lord takes us on long journeys we didn't expect.  Four years ago I came Stateside to bury my mother who was not suppose to live through the weekend. She recovered. Thus began my caregiver journey.  She has almost passed and come back multiple times in that time span and we dubbed her the "Come-Back Queen". Yesterday she quietly and peacefully slipped into heaven where she has longed desperately to be.  So grateful the Lord gave me this time with her.  And if you ever wonder if the Lord's promise to give "back the years the locusts ate up" will be kept.  I can answer resoundingly, YES He does -  far, more abundantly, beyond all you can ask or think!  Thank you  to all that have prayed and encouraged my mom, my sister, Steve and myself along this journey. Tom, my brother, has also been a constant encourager though not able to be with us in person. We rejoice for Mom, will miss her so very, much and now turn our heads to see what the next leg of this amazing walk with the Father has in store for us.  Love and thanks to each of you!

Angel M. - Health

Having a date with me, myself, and MRI. (And McDonald’s ice cream.) Pray with me that I can finally get some answers (and even better, a solution) to my back pain!

Evadne W. - Son's Surgery Recovery

With Nicholas’s permission I am sharing the following post.
As many of you are aware on Friday July 21st, Nicholas had major back surgery that lasted nearly 9 1/2 hours. We have been overwhelmed with the prayer support and messages that have been sent to us.
Many of you have asked why the surgery.

So here is the story

For many years Nicholas has suffered from quite debilitating back pain and has not had a lot of answers as to why, but has tried many different avenues to try and relieve the pain.
Earlier on this year he was diagnosed with “Scheuemann Kyphosis”, and his case was quite severe and the only way that Nicholas would find relief from constant pain was the most extreme and final option, Surgery.

The following is what he had done.

L2-3 XLIF (Extreme Lateral Interbody Fusion) and T2-L3 PSF (Posterior Lateral Spinal Fusion)

The picture shows the area that was fused with 2 rods. Nicholas has quite a recovery ahead of him so keep the prayers coming.

So today I have my first surgery to start to repair all the damage caused by the accident. 😳😳😳

Darren N. - Shannon's mom PTG

Dear friends,

I write sadly to let you know that Lt. Shannon B. mother, Kathy Redden, passed away peacefully last night (May 3rd) at 10:40pm in Hanford, Ca.  Lt Shannon and other family members were with her at the time.  We rejoice in Kathy’s Promotion to Glory and pray God’s peace and comfort over the family.

Please remember Lt. Shannon in your prayers tonight and in the days to come.

Thank you,

Darren

Jonathan M. - Health/Family

I’ve been reluctant on going public with this.
But I feel I need to because I want to invite you in on my journey. Some of you have been following me and cheering me on for years. Some of you are family. Some of you I’ve had the privilege to minister to.

For the past 13 years I’ve strived to follow Christ. To point others to Him the best I know how. Through my failures and successes. He is faithful guys!

With that said I face the biggest mountain yet… as of Tuesday I was told by a liver specialist I have stage 4 Cirrhosis of the liver. “Caused by Fatty Liver Disease… bad diet”
The doctor said my back is against the wall.
And was also told I’m not a candidate for a transplant.
I’d be lying if I didn’t say it wasn’t a gut punch to me and my family.

But I want you to know family… friends… loved ones… God is still Good!
I love God with all my heart!
This prognosis doesn’t change a thing.
In fact it gives God even more room to 💪 flex!

Sometimes God moves the mountains and sometimes He places a shovel in our hands and helps us move them one scoop at a time…

So with that said… would you please pray for us?
Pray for my wife to not be afraid.
Pray for my health.
Pray for renewed strength.
Pray for the fruit of the spirit self control

Maggie L. - Moving to Las Vegas

The Laubachs of Modesto will soon be relocating to Las Vegas, NV. The last 4 years here have been some of the weirdest (hello Covid!) and most fulfilling of our lives as Officers. I am amazed that we've been able to be part of all the Lord is doing in Modesto. We will miss the people the most, our staff, congregation, friends and Army supporters have blessed us beyond measure. I have been honored and humbled to be a part of this ministry.
So many mixed emotions but above all we're grateful that we get to continue serving the Lord and His people. Please pray for us, we live our daughters and granddaughter behind so this will be a particularly difficult move. We leave June 25th, if you're in the area I would love to see you and have the chance to say see you later.
🎶 I'll go in the strength of the Lord🎶

Chris G. - Sisters Situation

If anybody is still awake this evening, will you please say a prayer for my sister and her family. My sister was a victim of the Kia challenge that is currently all the rave on TikTok. Over the last many years, my sister has faced some enormous challenges, and right now she has been in a good space with her children and working full-time. As you know when life throws you a curveball, sometimes you wanna give up and I know that for me I am faced too many life or death situation is with my own health. So again, if you would take the time to pray for Elizabeth and her children, I would greatly appreciate it. Please also pray that she gets her car back in short order with a minimal damage to it, and it’s still drivable. 🙏🏿

Morgane D. - Vehicle accidents

So so grateful that God was watching out for us last night 🙏 May & I were on our way home and got into a 7 vehicle + cow collision on Hwy 70. Thank God we were (randomly) in my parents steel framed SUV….it probably saved our lives. We’re both okay, and the doggies, minus May having a leg injury & being on crutches. I only got pics of our suv & the car that hit us - it’s completely obliterated & praying the people inside are okay. They were sent to Enloe and had to be extracted from the vehicle 🙏

So scary, so grateful to be okay 🙏

Alex S. - Legal / Freedom

Today by the Grace of GOD, I discharged parole. This wouldn’t have been possible if it wasn’t for GOD working in my life.

“After victory, tighten your helmet “

Although today was a huge, huge victory, I am still fighting for my freedom. This Friday I will appear in court for a foolish mistake I made over two years ago, right before turning my will and my life over to GOD.

Best case scenario I won’t do no time.
Worst case scenario, the judge can give me up to 4 years in prison, which means I would do time and eventually be back on parole.
Pray for me please 🙏

At the end of the day it is in GODS hands.

Either way it goes, I am so grateful to have GOD in my life and I will continue to Glorify HIS name, whether it’s as a free man or behind the walls.☝🏼🙏

I appreciate all of you that have shown me nothing but love and support along my journey. Much, much love!👊🏽
To GOD be the Glory!

Rachel G. - Health and Healing

I went to my ocular oncologist today. He said that my eye is doing extremely well. There is inflammation but that is expected 2 weeks post op. He also had my Castle Bioscience biopsy results. The results was a 2, that means I have a 27%  chance that it won't metastasize to the liver. The PRAM was a negative, which is good., if it was a positive, I would be at an even higher risk.
I am being referred to another oncologist who will do a mri every 3 months to track any evidence of it metastasized to the liver.
Immanuel- God is with me.

Theresa E. - Healing / Health

I suppose the time has come to let all my family and friends know...
Almost 3 weeks ago, Chuck and I came to a decision that was not an easy one to make.
I am having issues with my legs (mostly the right one) that need to be resolved and unfortunately, I'm being told this is going to be a fairly lengthy process.
Today is my last day at Hico. I'm going to miss working there. I have some pretty awesome coworkers and a great boss (which is always so hard to come by) who I will miss so much.
I'm probably going to be going insane by day 2 but we will see how this goes.....

Bianca M. - Update: Mom's Health

Update:

They are telling us we have reached the end, but we don’t believe it and my mom doesn’t believe it. We are going to continue to fight and believe in the Mighty God for a miracle!

We ask for a miracle!

Norma has been fighting infections for the last two weeks. The plan was for her to get a transplant, but she needed to fight off infections off first and she needed to be walking.

We were told two days ago she has a fungal infection(Cryptococcus neoformans ) that needs to be treated because it could go the brain, but because the medication they need to give her this is disqualifying her from a lung transplant. They are telling us there is nothing else they could do to help her. This medication is aggressive and would need to be in her system for 6 month to a year

All of her organs are good other than her lungs. We are wanting a second opinion because she says she doesn’t feel like she is dying and we know she has a lot of life left in her!

Rochelle N. - Strength

I am, and probably will always be a very real and transparent person about myself - I am having one of those days where I just feel like no one cares and I am alone-NOW I know this is not true, and I am doing my best to shrug off these feelings but it is heavy on me today no matter what I do. Honestly, maybe it's partially because I am soooo tired from this single mom life, or from being sick this week, and this homework assignment that has taken me like 5 attempts and still not completed, maybe it's from the children who never let me sleep and naps that sound lovely but I do not have time for, or maybe it's from all the financial burdens I am carrying and that seem I will never get out from under...whatever it is today is heavy-and yes I am still blessed beyond measure-but I am still tired and everything feels heavy today-and I think that is ok.

Pam B. - Mom PTG

My precious momma went to be with Jesus this morning. She was a quiet strength, a solid rock, and gave grace beyond grace. She loved Jesus with all her heart and wanted nothing more than for her kids and grandkids to grow in Jesus. Mom, words seem empty right now, my heart is sad and full at the same time (seems to be such a contradiction) because of you. Thank you for loving Jesus in all things. Mom, I know I told you a million times but it never felt enough, thank you and I love you so much. Your kids honor you and called you blessed. ❤️❤️

"All went well with Rachel's surgery. She is now at home, resting. She will visit the oncologist on April 4 for follow up, then every 3 months to be sure the cancer has not returned. Thank everyone so much for your prayers."

Jennifer M. - Mom's Heart Procedure

Can you please say a prayer for my mom? She is having a heart procedure tomorrow. She’s definitely nervous and worried. Thanks so much for praying for peace for her and the wisdom for the doctors.

Dewayne H. - Nephew PTG

My nephew was taken off of life support this morning and he passed away.  Please pray for his siblings and his little boy who is left behind.  May the Lord comfort all of his family during this difficult time.  It is so important to have a relationship with Jesus. You never know when you will be leaving this earth.  🙏

Cindy Y. - Surgery

I am having surgery tomorrow at one. I broke both bones back in Augustbut something isn’t right with it. So basically the doctor is going to open it back up and scrape the bone and take biopsies. Please also pray that he doesn’t have to take my plates out. We also have an electrician coming out to fix the outlets in mine and Stacy G. room the day after surgery. Please pray for my family cause they have to put up with me after surgery.

Diane O B - Health

Would you pray a practical prayer for me right now? Tomorrow I have a medical study day, leaving home at 8am, getting back at 4:00pm

Last week that turned into getting home at 11:45pm., including a trip to ER, so I’m dreading tomorrow

If you would just ask for it to be a simple, normal test day, tomorrow (Monday) and Wednesday, I would be grateful. And if it isn’t that simple day, that God would keep my spirit high and the blood sample bruising low!

Thank you

I am asking for pray from friends and family. I am about to have surgery to remove the lab ban that I had in me for 15 years. I know God has this. But if something goes haywire, I want you all to do me a favor…. “Just Be There” “Just Be There” I love you all! Blessings! TTYL
