Prayer requests:

Switzerland

§ Give thanks and pray for the start of a new strategy period, which we have entitled "Lives transformed". May Jesus transform the lives of many people in our corps and social centers!

§ Pray for workers for the harvest. Only one cadet is being sent out this summer, and no one has signed up for officer training this year.

Austria

§ Pray for the management team in Vienna under the leadership of Major Gerhard Wyss. A redistribution of responsibilities is planned - pray for wisdom for this.

§ Pray for our small corps in Vienna, which is seeking new ways of reaching out to their neighbourhood.

Hungary

§ Pray for our French-speaking regional leaders who face the daily challenge of the Hungarian language, which is foreign to them. Ask for strength, motivation, and wisdom.

§ Give thanks and pray for the preparations for the 100th anniversary of The Salvation Army in Hungary. The celebrations will take place from 24 - 26 May 2024 in Budapest.

Father God Lord Jesus good morning thank you for the nights rest and for waking me up this morning. Lord as we travel today be with us in all way. Keep us safe, guide us on the right path and show us Lord that you alone are our protector. Be with all of the ladies that will be attending the retreat this weekend and be with the men that are at home and taking care of life there. In your mighty name I pray. Amen!!

You have been with us all the way. I ask Lord that as we are facing today you make yourself evident to not only my family but to all that we come into contact with today. I’m so glad I’m a part of the family of God. Washed in the fountain cleansed by His blood. Joint heir with Jesus as we travel along I am part of the family, the family of God. Morning Father God and Lord Jesus. As we go on about our day today be with and guide us in all we say and do. May your love for us shine through and work through us so that the world may know we are part of your family. Lord as the USA western territory is getting ready for the general change of appointments be with all of us. Calm our fears help us guide our families and congregations through the process. May those that are on the move list know that you are with them. Be with our leaders as this is a stressful time for them as they shoulder the blame and rejoice with those that need it. Father God Lord Jesus good morning. Lord I would like to thank you for always listening. I pray to you daily about wants and needs. I know you listen. Sometimes I wonder why the prayers are not being answered but I also know that the answers happen in your timing not mine. I grow impatient and want them to happen now. But Lord you assure me that they will happen in your time not man’s. So once again I thank you. Lord the officers of the USA western territory are anxious. For the upcoming moves. Calm us all. We place our appointments in your hands as you have placed us there for a reason. Show us what needs to be done and guide us along the way. Lord be with our territorial leaders Commissioners Doug and Colleen Hogan Riley where ever they are protect them and show them you love and guidance as they make decisions for the territory. We believe that you have called us to minister to a group that is from a different place. Lord we know you have us here for such a time as this. Morning Lord thank you for your divine protection yesterday and how things have worked out. Lord as we carry on today revive us like never before. Remove anything that is hindering us from doing your will. Show us Lord what needs to happen to build your kingdom. Be with the western territory officers who may be moving this year. Prepare them and thier families as well as thier congregations for this to happen. Your kingdom is what matters Lord and we will do what we can with your strength mercy and grace. Father God Lord Jesus good morning. "Thank you for being on the wake up list today. As we go on about your business today. Open our eyes and ears to see and hear of your works in the kingdom. May we hear what you are asking us to do and see where the needs are at that we may be able to fulfill them. Lord you know how many of us in the western territory feel right now about the upcoming moves. Are we staying or going. Many of us do not know. Thank you Lord for being with our friend that was involved in an accident yesterday. Keep her free from the pain and any unseen damage to her. Lord you know what’s on my mind you know what our desires are. Lord I ask that you grant us the answers we seek. In your mighty name I pray. Amen!!

Please pray for Manoy War ( grandmas oldest brother- La Miranda ) admitted to ER last night he fell at the bathroom for being dizzy. Seems to had heart murmur. Going through much testing.

Rochelle N. - Home, Work and Family

Some days are hard, today I am feeling discouraged-discouraged by the messy house, discouraged by the amount of stuff I have on my shoulders, discouraged by people I cannot control, discouraged by the lack of support I feel like I have, I really need to figure out childcare for summer and I really would prefer someone to come to my home! I am excited for my job interview today but scared of what that looks like for my kids. It will mean I will not overall have to work so much as I do now possibly, but could possibly mean I am not as flexible. All the prayers could be appreciated!

Father God Lord Jesus good morning. Thank you for your healing touch yesterday not sure what it was that knocked me down but you took care of it. Lord be with us today keep us focused on your will and the task at hand. Lord many Salvation Army officers are anxious this month not knowing what’s going to happen. Keep them calm and focused on what they need to do now. Lord you know the whys and everything else. Show us Lord your mercy and grace. In your mighty name. Amen!!

Larry J. - Hearing / Healing

-January 2024- I was ringing in the new ears.

I had only had my hearing aids a couple of month before I began to find liquid draining from my right ear. I had an ear infection.

I texted my doctor who prescribed some ear drops. The insurance would not cover it. After about a week of back and forth between myself, the doctor and the insurance co, I had a prescription the Ins co approved.

So after a week and half treatment had been completed the drainage was gone; a week or two later it was back. Before I could get into dr. I had lost the hearing in my right ear. My ear drum had ruptured. The approved treatment plan had failed.

It is now the beginning of a new year. The dr. said I would need surgery to repair the damage. Well tomorrow is the big day.

Please pray for the medical staff to be well guided.

Just my luck, I finally get my hearing aids just to lose an ear drum.

World Central Kitchen Team - Killed in Israel

World Central Kitchen is devastated to confirm seven members of our team have been killed in an IDF strike in Gaza.

The WCK team was traveling in a deconflicted zone in two armored cars branded with the WCK logo and a soft skin vehicle.

Despite coordinating movements with the IDF, the convoy was hit as it was leaving the Deir al-Balah warehouse, where the team had unloaded more than 100 tons of humanitarian food aid brought to Gaza on the maritime route.

“This is not only an attack against WCK, this is an attack on humanitarian organizations showing up in the most dire of situations where food is being used as a weapon of war. This is unforgivable,” said World Central Kitchen CEO Erin Gore.

The seven killed are from Australia, Poland, United Kingdom, a dual citizen of the U.S. and Canada, and Palestine.

“I am heartbroken and appalled that we—World Central Kitchen and the world—lost beautiful lives today because of a targeted attack by the IDF. The love they had for feeding people, the determination they embodied to show that humanity rises above all, and the impact they made in countless lives will forever be remembered and cherished,” said Erin.

The IDF says it is “carrying out an in-depth examination at the highest levels to understand the circumstances of this tragic incident.”
