Ed M. update: So my dad is still in the hospital. They still don’t know what is wrong with him. They have now said that they don’t think it would be encephalitis because he’s had it for a few weeks and if it was it would be progressively worse than it is right now. And theydon’t want to risk taking a spinal tap to confirm this because of his age and there could be complications with the spinal tap. Since my dad is over 80, it seems like they are not as passionate about figuring out what is causing him to lose his sharpness and to have these arm twitches every five minutes. We have since convinced them to take a second MRI. But aside from that, we are just kind of frustrated as it seems like the hospital just wants to give him something to mask the effects of the seizures or twitching (which hasn’t worked yet) and then send him home. Don’t get me wrong, we want him to come on ASAP. But we also want to figure out what the heck is causing this and get to the bottom of it and get it fixed, not just have the symptoms masked. So please pray that the Lord gives us clarity and pray for wisdom as we try and discern what could be causing this and ultimately how we could get our Dad back to 100% without taking some crap that will give him even worst side effects.
