Myriah and Shannon's mom - health

Marilyn has not been well. She's actually been in the hospital since last weekend. Myriah came down to spend time with Shannon and Julius and then went home again. They are going to visit her again today and then spend the night. Anyway, I didn't want to tell you her personal news but this is just a little bit. She can fill in the rest plus give an update on the kiddos. Marilyn will most likely not be returning to the Murphy's house now. They are looking into putting her in a nursing home so that she can get the proper care that she needs.

Jessica - Aria's Update - upcoming surgery

Aloha Friends and Family, First, we wanted to thank you for your prayers and the prayers of so many! Over the last two days we have received really great news in terms of Aria. First, yesterday we had a meeting with the Genetic doctor and after many questions and a full physical exam she determined that right now they do not want to do any genetic testing. She said that other than the cystic hygroma on her next she does not have any other physical differences. She did say that once they fully remove the growth, and it is tested, they will want to meet with us to go over those results and to see if we need any further testing then, but for now she is doing really good. Then today we had a follow-up appointment with the surgeon and he was really impressed to see how much her cyst has shrunk. He really feels like they can go in now and safely and effectively remove the growth. We are scheduling an appointment at the end of March so he can see her again. Then, after that appointment he would like to go in and remove what is left inside as well as the extra skin outside! We are looking at either April 11th or 25th for that surgery. We are praising God for this great news and feel really blessed by the prayer support we have received; thank you for loving us and our family through this time Blessings, Jessica S.

Lila P. - friend's health

I need major major major super strong prayers right now please! ! Nichole P. sodium levels are high again and causing her to be disoriented,  also another CT scan showed that because of the inflation of the surgery her brain fluid isn't draining as it should.  So another thing they want to do is place a drain tube in her so the fluid can drain, but they don't know if her body can handle the procedure.  Then on top of that close minded doctors said that her days are numbered and she may not be able to go back to maui if she's not stable.

Prayer Warriors. Please join me and pray for God to send down his strongest healing to stabilize and heal Nichole P. so that she may walk out of this hospital and fly home to be home with our children,  and also live a long and glorious life to see our children and grandchildren to come grow up.  Lord God we believe in your miracles especially when times look too dark to even have faith, and know that you will pull her through so we can be home with our family.  We praise your name and put our faith in your hands knowingly that you  will deliver your promise onto Nichole P. and heal her 100% from the top of her head to the bottom of her feet.

IN JESUS ALL MIGHTY NAME!  AMEN!

Commissioner Patricia S. took a tumble Wednesday afternoon. "Unable to get in to see my Dr., we went to the ER for X-RAYS to see if my foot was broken or a bad sprain. I was unable to stand on my right foot, but was happy to hear that the bones were not broken and the plate and screws in my ankle from an injure in the late 90's were not disturbed. I am in a boot and using a walker and/or wheelchair. We would appreciate your prayers as we travel to Atlanta."

David and Geri - pet dog

It's a sad day at the house.  Tomorrow Geraldine L. and I will make one final drive to the vet and bid a last goodbye to Christmas.  She came to me as a package deal.  If I were to marry Geri, I would also get Christmas.  I came out ahead on that one.  Christmas' health has deteriorated over the past month or so.  She's lost her sight, her hearing, and her hips don't support her very well.  She's 17, so she has had a good and long life.  Please keep Geri in your prayers.  She is having a very difficult time as she prepares to let her child go.  The photos attached is how I will always remember Christmas.

Please keep this precious little one and the brand new parents in your prayers! God bless the Walters Family!"

Joan D. - brother - surgery - healing

For those who may not have heard, here is an update on Ed R. (brother of Lt. Colonel Joan D.). "Ed had his open heart surgery on Tuesday, November 24. Although a complicated and challenging surgery, the surgeon was able to do a six-way bypass. Ed went home in less than four days and his recovery has been nothing short of miraculous. Ed's condition continues to improve and he is experiencing a smooth recovery and feeling stronger each day. As we begin this new year the family is extremely grateful for your prayers and to God for His powerful and evident answer to those prayers. This has indeed been our Christmas miracle this year." May God bless you each one.

RMI - Weather

Hello Major John and Major Mark

This is to inform you that we are facing the beginnings of drought here in RMI.

Ine and Arno Corps - have not had water in their catchments for some time. And have been asking their neighbors to provide water.

We are sending both corps ten 5 gallon jugs by boat. This water is only a band-aid. However, we can refill them here as long as water is being sold in the community and as long as Ine and Arno return the jugs to us.

If that becomes a problem we can dip into our catchments as long as there is water.

Please remember that Marshallese cannot keep water for themselves - they are bound by custom to share whatever they have. So whatever we send will not just go to the officers and soldiers of the corps - but to whomever asks for water.

Currently RMI Admin and Rita are OK. We are 68% full at 47,000 gallons. We treat the water with bleach each week. Although Judy and I don't drink catchment water it has been declared safe by the EPA in Majuro.

We go to RRE to get drinking water - so far this has not been a problem. But I have seen at least one water store saying they are without water.

Dire predictions of El Nino caused drought have been coming since July. Right now this situation seems to be similar to other years - but we will see how things go.

    We will keep you updated!

    God bless

    johnb

Chris G. - God's strength in his life.

It can be troubling to be in a system of people who say that they care.

It's not about the uniform or the people that wear it because I am one of them, there just seem to be a bit of life problems that have it me at once and trying to find the needed outlet. Ministry is good and God is better! I will call you soon but in the meantime I ask you to pray for me.
