Youth Councils

Please lift up the Salvation Army Intermountain Youth Councils (Youth Event) which will be held this weekend (Sept. 24-26). Pray that the Lord will ignite and empower the hearts of all who come to this event. May each one draw near to the Lord in a powerful way! May those who don't know the Lord in a personal way surrender their lives to the Lord and put their faith in Jesus Christ. Please pray for the Leaders! May the Lord give each of them wisdom and understanding (understanding the youth that they interact with and engage them to show the love and grace of our Lord). May all who attend leave this event as changed people!

Praise Report - It's All Worth It!

After my Salvation Army membership class last night at the Adult Rehabilitation Center (30 people in all), one of the men came to me at the end of the class and expressed that he wanted to surrender his life to Christ. What a previlege and honor to lead someone to Christ! After he had accepted Jesus into his heart, I told him that the Bible says that when one person comes to Christ, the Angels in heaven rejoices! Praise the Lord for Dawan that he has been made alive in Christ!

Praise Report

From the daughter of Lt. Colonels Ron and Pam S:

"On behalf of me and my family, I want to express appreciation for all of your thoughts and prayers. It has been an incredible feeling to belong to the body of Christ and to experience the power of prayer of other believers. It is a privilege to be a soldier in The Salvation Army and witness the support of God's people in this great organization. I am truly blessed to have this wonderful prayer support and I thank God for each one of you. Gratefully - Kimberly H." Lt. Colonel Ron and Pam also want to express how grateful they are for the prayers offered up for Kimberly.

Please pray for all the young people that are in the Juvenile jail (Gilliam). Pray for Youth for Christ organization for reaching out to these youth. May the love and grace of our Lord Jesus shine through all who minister to these young people.

“Pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints.” Ephesians 6:18
Two issues being given media attention today, ought to be in our prayers:

First, is the proposal to build a sprawling casino within six blocks of the hallowed battlefield of Gettysburg. The issue is not gambling, as much as whether it is appropriate to permit the gaudy and lurid neon glow of such an establishment to be cast across the hallowed ground of Gettysburg.
