Regina S. - Moves

Moves were announced today and as you see The Shulls are on the list! Well Sd Citadel/Door of Hope you will always have my heart! What a true blessing it has been for us to minister at our Home Corps these past 5 years. And to serve alongside such a faithful congregation who were called to make a tough move but who continues to trust in what God has for them on the Door of Hope Campus! The wonderful news is that we will still be in the Southern California Division heading North to Riverside California! So it won’t be goodbye 😊! Keep these two ministries in your prayers and our Family too as we prepare for what God has for us!

Turnie W. - Today

Father God Lord Jesus good morning. Today is the day that the USA western territory moves come out. Lord I pray for all of the officers on the list thier families thier congregations that you would be with them during this transition time and that all will fall into place for your kingdoms sake. Lord many people don’t understand why these things happen but sometimes it’s necessary for growth in all aspects. May your kingdom come and you will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Amen!!

Teresa R. - Husband's Health

As many of you know, back at the end of November, Chuck went into multiple seizures in a row and was hospitalized for 3 days. It happened as he was starting to feel better after having covid. We are 5 months in. Over the course of the last 5 months, Chuck and I have met with the neurologist PA-C twice- once to change medication. She had said he will likely have to be on medication for at least 2 years. 

Yesterday, we met with the neurologist heading his case. We got some really good news! He said that given the fact that 1) he has no new seizure activity 2) no past seizures and 3) he had covid at the onset of seizures that it is unlikely that he will have anymore seizures and we than discussed coming off the medication right around the 6 month mark. Chuck decided that he wants to come off the medication. He will start cutting down on his meds on May 20th. 

In the unlikely event that he has another seizure, he agreed to go back on medication (just not keppra) and staying on it as he will officially be diagnosed with epilepsy.

Father God Lord Jesus good morning. I as k today that you be with those who are getting the call today that are on the move in the USA western territory of the Salvation Army. Lord I know fully well the anticipation and anxiety they are all feeling. But the words of the chorus “ draw me close to you, never let me go. I want to be so close to you that all will see your love in me” came to me this morning. That is my prayer this morning that all those who are getting the call today and finding out where they are moving will be comforted by those words. Lord be with us all and may those words echo in our hearts and minds today. In your mighty name. Amen!!

Good Morning Father God and Lord Jesus. Holy Spirit guide us this day and everyday. Thank you all for the nights rest show up today and show out what you would have us do today. As we go on about your business. Guide us and show us who to share your love and joy with. Lord be with those in the USA western territory of the Salvation Army who will be getting calls this week. Prepare them for new adventures and ministries. Lord be with the congregations that they leave behind and for those that will be welcoming them. New things will be happening all around. Be with our leaders where ever they are and bless them as only you can. In your mighty name we pray amen!!

Prayer requests:

Switzerland

§ Give thanks and pray for the start of a new strategy period, which we have entitled "Lives transformed". May Jesus transform the lives of many people in our corps and social centers!

§ Pray for workers for the harvest. Only one cadet is being sent out this summer, and no one has signed up for officer training this year.

Austria

§ Pray for the management team in Vienna under the leadership of Major Gerhard Wyss. A redistribution of responsibilities is planned - pray for wisdom for this.

§ Pray for our small corps in Vienna, which is seeking new ways of reaching out to their neighbourhood.

Hungary

§ Pray for our French-speaking regional leaders who face the daily challenge of the Hungarian language, which is foreign to them. Ask for strength, motivation, and wisdom.

§ Give thanks and pray for the preparations for the 100th anniversary of The Salvation Army in Hungary. The celebrations will take place from 24 - 26 May 2024 in Budapest.
