We’re going to need a bigger bingo card!
The rollercoaster ride that is cancer/chemo has moved into the minefields 🫣
Jillian got a CT scan yesterday so they could image what they thought was kidney stones from a couple weeks back.
Jillian received the results this morning…
Doctor, “how are you feeling today”
Jillian, “I’m feeling pretty good today. Jumping on a plane to visit my parents tomorrow.
Doctor, “I’m sorry to tell you… no you’re not. You need to get to the ER right away. Your scans showed blood clots in both lungs.”
While Jillian was (and still is) upset about missing time with family in Phoenix… we are so glad the results of the imaging came before finding out for her self 30-42k feet up.
A trip to the ER turned into an ambulance ride and a 24 hour hospital stay. The doctors and nurses seem to feel like they have it under control (except for a talkative monitoring device), but prayers in the same direction would be lovely too.
Grateful for everyone who has stepped into the gaps. Special thank you to Daniel Tollerud and Jackie Raihl for making sure the kids weren’t stranded at school, and that they were fed and filled on Dutch Bros.
