New Soldiers

Please lift up Giola, Patricia, Togo, Sandy, and Bryant up in your prayers as they have made a commitment today to become soldiers 'church members' of the Salvation Army Hilo Temple Corps. They have taken doctrinal classes and had wonderful discussion to what it means to be soldiers. May God go before them and prepare their path in serving Him through the ministries of The Salvation Army. In all, may God be Glorify through their precious lives!

Continue to keep Major Dave A. in your prayers. He has parkinson's disease and is getting ready to leave for Australia where he will live and retired. He is going home. To God be the glory for shining through Dave all these years through thick and thin. May He continue to shine through him as he travels home.

Typhoon heading to Yap

Super Typhoon Maysak is now as strong as Cylone Pam which hit Vanuatu earlier this month leaving 11 dead and was reported to be the strongest cyclone in Vanuatu's history. It hit Chuuk as category 1 and left with 5 so far reported dead.

Compared to Typhoon Sudal which hit Yap in 2004 causing $14 million, Typhoon Sudal had sustained winds of up to 150 mph. Super Typhoon Maysak now has winds of up to 165 mph.

Super Typhoon Maysak, now category 5, is so far set to hit between late Tuesday night, March 31 and early Wednesday morning, April 1 (Yap time zone).
