Good morning!
Below, please find this weeks "Call to Prayer"
In just a couple of weeks, many of our young people will be starting school. Many changes will taking place within our families as summer draws to a close. Changes bring new challenges. Sometimes when we have challenges they feel like we're fighting a battle. Perhaps a Spiritual Battle?
As David fought the Philistine's (Giants) in his life, he knew that he could not do it without the strength of the Lord.
1 Samuel 17: 47 reminds us "...for the battle is the Lord's..."
We have this promise that no matter what challenges or battles we face, they all belong to the Lord. He will be there when we need Him the most.
I pray that you will continue to uplift those who are facing battles in areas of their perhaps with spiritual issues, health issues and relationships. We all need the prayer support of friends and family.
Please remember our new Officers in the division that have joined our Ohaha. As they begin their ministries they too will face challenges as they lead their corps and community ministries. Pray for them today!
May God richly bless you as you lift one another in daily prayer.
Blessings!
Major Shelley

General Eva Burrows (Rtd)
Dear Friends,
General Eva Burrows (Rtd)
General Eva Burrows (Rtd) has been admitted to the Cabrini Hospital in Melbourne, Australia, and has been scheduled for heart bypass surgery on Thursday this week - 5th May 2011. She has been experiencing related symptoms for some time, and was admitted to hospital on Good Friday when the cause of this was diagnosed by a specialist cardiologist. It was quickly determined that surgical intervention was required to treat General Burrows' condition.
Reports reaching me from Melbourne indicate that General Burrows is in good spirits, and has the support of family and friends at this time. Naturally, she will be encouraged and feel further supported to know that the wider Army family around the world is lifting her name to the Lord in prayer, and I invite you to encourage salvationists, adherent members and friends to engage in such a ministry at this time.
Following surgery on Thursday, further word on General Burrows' progress will be shared with you from the office of the Chief of the Staff.
God bless you.
Sincerely,
Linda Bond
