As you follow the news reports coming in relative to the recent earthquake and continuing aftershocks in New Zealand, please remember our own Captain Nigel C. and his family in your prayers. Nigel is a native of New Zealand and his hometown is the area most severely impacted by these events. Thankfully, none of his family members have been injured but the overall impact on the community has been devastating with significant loss of life and dramatic property damage. The continuing aftershocks are especially unsettling to those living in the impacted areas.
For Nigel, being far away from family and friends as they endure these hardships is especially tough.
The Salvation Army is among the organizations heavily involved in responding to this disaster.

Please lift Tabitha up in your prayers. She is one of our employees. The Red Shield has taken on Social Services, and Tabitha is overseeing this department. Our Social Services will start on March 1st. Pray that everything will go well. May the Lord give Tabitha the wisdom and guidance as she starts this program. Jennifer's Hands
Captain Jennifer E.K (Associate Divisional Youth Secretary) had carpal tunnel surgery on both hands this past Friday, January 14. The surgery was successful and Jennifer is recuperating at home for the next 3-4 days. Please keep her in your prayers as she recovers. May the Lord be with her and heal her hands!
