Update on Dara, June 25:
Dara had the surgery this morning to remove the stents and kidney stones. She was taken back to surgery at 7:46 am and was there close to two hours, and is now in the recovery room.
Her doctor just came out to brief me on the results. They cleared the stones on the right side first and took out the stent. The left side had a large amount of stones in the urinary tract and up in the kidney, so took longer. He said there is still a large amount of stone dust, so he decided to leave the stent to facilitate it clearing out naturally.
She will be scheduled in a couple more weeks for another procedure to scope the left side to check that everything is cleared out, and if yes, the stent will be removed.
