"Some great news today! We thank God that Asia Bibi is safely out of Pakistan and reunited with family in Canada. Thank you to everyone who prayed for Asia’s release and for God’s hand of protection on her. And thank you Canada for opening your doors to Asia! This woman was persecuted for her Christian faith and spent 8 years on death row after being accused of blasphemy.
The Chairman of the British Pakistani Christian Association said that Asia had bravely held onto her faith throughout the brutal ordeal. "She was offered freedom on several occasions by officials and prison workers pressuring her to convert to Islam and if she did, she would immediately be released … She refused to capitulate, she is a testimony to us all." Please continue praying for the thousands of other persecuted Christians around the world who are suffering because of their faith in Jesus Christ."
