This Week (4/15-4/22)

Please continue to pray for:
1. Kathy's D's health--Recover fully from her surgery
2. Capt. Tom F.-- went through a stroke, now is going through recovery (therapy).
3. Doris: Barbara C's sister, still recovering from her bipass surgery.
*May the Lord continue to touch these individuals. May His mighty hand of healing be upon them. May His Spirit comfort them during this time!

Marriages: May the Lord continue to intervene in all of our marriages. May He set a hedge of protection (angels) around these homes, and protect them from the evil one. May each home be healed and strengthened, so that each family can continue to be mission unit in this dark world!

The Salvation Army Call to Prayer for April 22 2010

Today is an incredible time in our nation’s history. The very mention of God, of praying in public, the role of Almighty God in our government and country, are being stripped away.

U.S. District Judge Barbara Crabb last week issued a decision that the 1988 Federal law designating a National Day of Prayer in the United States is unconstitutional.

1.Pray for this year’s National Day of Prayer on May 6. Join with other churches in your city. There will be prayer vigils in Washington D.C. on the steps of the U.S Capitol, at the Washington Monument, near Jefferson Memorial, and in your local community.. Add your name to the Declaration for Prayer petitions by e-mailing: Info@Presidential PrayerTeam.org

2.Pray for President Obama and his Administration. May they be sensitive to the needs of Americans and the world and be guided by God to make wise and sensitive decisions.

3.Pray that the President will respond with courage and sensitivity by declaring May 6 as National Day of Prayer for all who believe in a Higher Power and the value and power of prayer!

4.Pray for those fighting the war against terrorism and for the safety of our military menand women fighting for freedom in Afghanistan and around the world. Pray also for their families, who give great personal sacrifices.

Promoted To Glory

Please keep Majors Richard and Deborah G., Corps Officers (Salt Lake City & Salt Lake City Central) in your prayers. Majors will be in the Yuma, Arizona area this weekend for the memorial service for Georgia Hubbard mother of Major Deborah G. Georgia was a loyal soldier of the Yuma Corps for over 20 years. Captain Jonathan H. will be officiating over this service which is set for Saturday April 10, 2010, at 4:00 PM at the Yuma Corps. *May the Lord comfort this family during this difficult time of loss. May this funeral be a celebration of Georgia's legacy here on earth and her new life in Glory with her Savior! May all the details of the funeral come together smoothly! A Soldier of Chris has been given the ultimate promotion: "Promotion to Glory!!!!" Hallelujah!!!

Resurrection Sunday

Praise the Lord for the wonderful opportunity that we can come tomorrow and celebrate what Jesus has done for us! May the Lord bless each 'Christian Worship Service' tomorrow all over the world. May all who don't know the Jesus in a personal way, give their lives to Him. May everything that go on tomorrow be an honor to the glorified risen Christ (Jesus our Lord)!

Barbara and Friends

Please lift up Barbara C. as she is traveling with her friends to Cancun Mexico for a well deserved vacation. May the Lord bless their time together and keep them safe. May each of them be touch by the Lord (experience God in a new way) during this time away from home.

Surgerical Recovery

Please keep Kathy D. and Jimmy H. in your prayers as they are recovering from their surgeries. Praise the Lord that their surgeries went well. May the Lord be with them and strengthen them during this time! May His peace be upon them as He draws each of them unto Himself. Richard Z's Dad

Herbert Z., father of Richard Z. (IM Divisional Finance Director), will undergo open heart surgery in Phoenix, Arizona on Wednesday, April 7, 2010. Richard will be travelling to Phoenix in order to support his parents at this time. Your prayers on behalf of Richard's father and their family would be greatly appreciated. *May the Lord go before Richard's father and prepare the way for a successful surgery. Our hope of eternal life began with our Lord’s victory over death. We celebrate Easter once a year, but should live our lives remembering these events every day!
