Steve S. - Family, Mom's and Travels

Anne and I are currently on opposite sides of the globe. She left Guam two days ago to fly to Virginia to be with her mother, who is hospitalized and not doing too well. Anne's brother and sister have also come, along with our two children, Jason (and his family) and Amy. Pray for comfort, grace, strength, and rest in God's will. Anne will be there indefinitely.

I, on the other hand, will be flying to Palau tomorrow evening, as planned, to participate as a speaker in the 90th Gospel Days celebration. Many from around the world will gather together in Palau to remember the arrival of the gospel 90 years ago, celebrate it's power in the planted church, and plan for its spread around the world. Pray that God would speak powerfully through His Word and that many would respond to the challenge to take the message of the gospel to the ends of the earth. I will be in Palau for about two weeks. We appreciate your faithful involvement in our ministry. I'll be updating you in about a month on what we've been doing since we arrived on Guam a few months ago.

Thanks for your love, care, prayers, and financial support.

In Christ Jesus,

Angelina K. - fellow believers in Mexico

Dear friends,

Please pray for our brothers and sisters in Christ in Mexico. There was a tragic accident involving the officers and soldiers of the Guadalajara Corps. Please pray for comfort and peace. We are hurting with our Salvation Army Mexico family tonight.

*********************************

From Anita C.

Estimados amigos, familia y colegas oficiales.

Roger M. - Child's Health

Update:

Hey, praying friends.

Tamasin went in for a recheck and she now has pneumonia in her right lung. She's at the ER waiting for transfer to Oakland Children's Hospital.

I know she's going to be fine, but prayers are very much appreciated. She is precious to me and I need her to be okay.

She's in good spirits. She and Alaric are currently making her oxygen levels go up and down by talking or coughing or being quiet. They got her up to 96 from the 92 she's been at.

*********************************

"Tamasin update:
She's still stuck at a dungeon-like secondary campus of Children's Hospital. Not sure why this child has a knack for getting transferred to hospitals 50+ miles from home. Distance and the hospital's unwillingness to let her brother visit meant I didn't get to see her in person today, which definitely is coloring my impression of her care.

She is maybe doing better? Oxygen is back up to 95 when she is awake and remembering to breathe. Low heart rate concerns have been somewhat reduced by changing the equipment being used to monitor it. Lungs now described as "crackling" with the suggestion that this is a mild improvement. And, as a bonus, she pooped today, which seems to have made a tremendous number of people happy.

As of tonight, she'd eaten something at each meal today (as opposed to barely nibbling anything yesterday) and had not thrown any of it back up. No fever, at least not at the moment.  She is still on oxygen and still fighting the masks/nose tubes they keep trying.

We hope this all points to progress and a chance to escape from the dungeon by the weekend, but we also have cancelled our plans for a roadtrip and visit to grandma's in the coming week. Sad she won't get to be the flower girl in a wedding this weekend. Her brother is also sad about not going, but happy he gets to go to summer camp with me for a week.

Summary:
Tamasin isn't out of the woods yet, but is moving that way. Continued prayer and notes of encouragement to her and Bridget are welcomed."

Continue to Pray for Burkina Fasa -19 dead

At least 19 Christians were killed in an attack June 9 on the village of Arbinda in Africa's northern Burkina Faso, the AFP reports

According to Barnabas Fund sources, the number of those killed may be as high as 29 as 10 more people were reportedly murdered in the nearby Namentenga province the next day.

"There is no Christian anymore in this town (Arbinda)," said a Barnabas Fund source. He added that 19 people were killed and that the entire population of Christians had fled for their safety.

Fred A. - Dad’s Health and Wife

Dear friends!
Please continue praying for my father, Fred Sr. He continues to be  in the hospital with spiking fevers and pneumonia. This far, his kidneys and bladder are clear.

He really needs to eat to gain some strength to fight this infection in his lungs, so please pray that he will eat something.

You know me... I can be stubborn/obstinate at times... right now, I am getting a taste of my own medicine. 😕
Hopefully that abates sometime soon so he will eat.

Thanks to each of you who have supported my wife while she flies solo at home with our son and girls... I say "solo", but she has been anything but alone.
