TSA Western Territory Prayer Requests

CALL TO PRAYER

The Salvation Army Call to Prayer line for January 29, 2009.

General Shaw Clifton has issued a Call to Prayer for the Middle East, for Salvationists around the world to unite in a four week focus on prayer for the people of Israel and Palestine.
“ Let Salvationists of the world re-double their intensity in prayer for the Middle East, for the people, for the families, and for their leaders to be restrained and wise and return to peace. May God grant peace, despite the long and deeply rooted antipathies in this region of the world. Thank you for your fidelity in intercessory prayer.

1. The first 100 days are crucial to any regime or administration. Pray for President Obama and his administration. Sign up today to participate in “Praying Through the first 100 days 1/20-4/29/09 “ with the Presidential Prayer Team , wwwpresidentialprayerteam.org.

2. Pray for George Mitchell as he serves the new administration as Special Envoy for Middle East Peace. Pray for Godly wisdom and strength, for security and for his safety.

3. As thousands of fans, players, vendors and other flock to Tampa Bay, FL on Sunday, February 1 for Super Bowl XLIII, pray for God’s powerful protection and care and that the entire weekend and all related events will run smoothly and without critical incidents.

4. Pray for wisdom for military leaders and for protection for the men and women serving overseas in the coming months as serve in a great variety of ways around the world-for safety for each one, for encouragement from God and for success in their assignments.

Pray for the following: Hannah Danielson, who has returned home after treatment for an unexplained high fever; Sandy Craft, daughter of Majors Ed & Eleanor Henderson, a large tumor on her brain; for the Boyd family and the health of Chris & Jeff’s unborn baby; for Terra Kammerer, Goodyear, diabetes; Major Pat Jolly, health issues, Sedona, granddaughter of Lt. Colonel Ray and Carolyn Peacock; Captain David Allen, who suffered a fall; Major Dennis Trimmer who suffered a bad fall and broke his arm, Major John Turmey who will have surgery on January 28; Major Harryette Raihl, who suffered a recent fall; Angelica for strength, faith and prosperity. Red Shield Staff

Please pray for one of the Denver Red Shield staff and her family during this difficult time of loss. May the Lord strengthen them as they mourn, remember and celebrate the life of their loved one.

New Fountain Envoy

Please pray for Envoy Sharon as she gets ready for her new mission field in Fountain Colorado. May the Lord go before her and prepare the way to expand His Kingdom through her. May He strengthen, encourage, and guide her through this transition.

Please continue to pray for baby Evan Kaleo Begonia Jones, as he is still in the hospital. Praise the Lord that he is doing much better. He will be at the hospital for another two weeks or so. May the Lord strengthen and comfort him during this time of growth. Lift up the Jones family!

(Praise God for “The Miracle Landing on the Hudson” where all 155 airline passengers survived a crash landing on the Hudson River in New York !)

1. General Shaw Clifton has issued a Call to Prayer for the Middle East, for Salvationists around the world to unite in a four week focus on prayer for the people of Israel and Palestine. Innocent ones are suffering; non combatants are paying a high price; Children lie dead and maimed.

2. Continue to pray for those communities who have been hit by extreme weather this month. Rain and high winds have lashed the Northwest and Cascade Divisions. Many communities across the northern states are suffering cold and blizzard conditions. Pray for them and that Salvation Disaster workers will be able to serve the needy in those regions. Pray for the recovery efforts and that there will be no loss of life in these storms.

3. Pray for President-elect Obama and this week’s Inauguration Events. Pray for Godly
wisdom for the new administration as they take leadership of the country.

TSA Western Territory Prayer Requests

CALL TO PRAYER
“Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful.” Colossians 4:2, NIV


Most places in the world will pause this week to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, born a tiny baby who would, one day, show the world how much God loves us. Pray for peace and joy to spread throughout the world. Oh Come, let us adore Him!


1. Pray for President George W. Bush and our national leaders. Soon many will step aside for new leaders to continue on with the work of leading our country to a new era of hope. May God’s blessing be upon them.

2. Pray for President-elect Obama and his carefully chosen team of leaders. Pray for godly wisdom for the new administration and that they will be strong and of good courage..

3. PRAY FOR members of our military and their families during this Christmas Season. Pray for them to have God’s powerful protection and that He will protect their loved ones who anxiously wait their return at home.

4. Many look to The Salvation Army for assistance this Christmas Season.

“Dear Salvation Army, You have been a beacon of light in my family’s life. There were times that the only one who reached out to my family was your organization. I want to thank you for that and pray for your continued light in the world. I also felt compelled to reach out to you to pray for my family. We have almost run out of resources and we would like for you to pray for our continued strength, faith and prosperity. Especially for a breakthrough since both my husband I and do not have full-time employment. Thank you! Angelica.

Pray that a generous public, many of whom also face uncertainty in these difficult times, will be generous in helping during this Season of Caring.

Time of Transition

Please pray for the Fountain Valley Corps 'Church' as they prepare to go through another Pastoral transition in the end of January. May the Lord assure each and everyone that His utilimate Will and Plan is beautiful and perfect! May the Lord go before His Church and prepare the way for a smooth transition and instill in each the excitement of what He has instore for their Church!

Doris' Surgery

May the Lord be with Doris as she prepares to go for her surgery tomorrow. May the Lord guide the Doctor's hands. May the Lord comfort and strengthen Doris as she anticipate her surgery. In all, may she be healed completely with what she is going in for!

Cathy Hayley's Mom

Please for Cathy and her family as they prepare for her mom's funeral tomorrow. May the Lord comfort her and her family during this time of grieve. May the funeral be a great time of reflecting and celebrating her mom's life. May the Lord speak mightily through the funeral to all that come.
