Pray for your Pastors/Christian Mentors

Taken from a social media Post.
‐----------------------------------------------------------------

Being a pastor is classified in the four most difficult professions.

This because a pastor should be:
•Preacher
•Example
.Parent
•Spouse
•Advisor
•Speaker
•Planner
•Minister
•Visionary
•Director
•Mentor
•Friend
•Daycare
•Reconciliation maker
•Marriage counselor
•Youth Counselor
• Leader trainer
•Teacher of the Bible
• Intercessor ,etc.
• Church Bearer
• Taxi driver
• Cleaning staff
• Leader of Praise and worship
• A/V operators
• Landscapers
• Handyman/ or women
• The 1st to arrive and the last to leave

Every Pastor constantly faces criticism like:
● I don't like the sermon
• is that because it’s to close to home?
● The service is very long
• It is cutting into my worldly plans!
● Prayers are long
• I asked for my prayer not the rest!
● Pastor's children are not an example.
• you should be perfect, so shall they!

One of the most difficult things in a pastor's life is knowing that the people they love betray them constantly.

Pastor is often the loneliest person in the congregation.

You can see a pastor being surrounded by people, but very rarely people who are interested in their problems, needs or even in their lives. And let's not say the demands congregations put on Pastors' children.

For this I would like to give you some advice: If you have a pastor or have as friends children of Pastors take care of them, protect them, pray for them always,
connect to their vision, support them, support them, but most of all, love them.

📖 Jeremiah 3:15 says:
“And I will give you shepherds according to mine heart, which shall bear you with knowledge and understanding. ”

So take care of them because "they watch over your souls as those who should pay attention"
Hebrews 13: 17

Let's honor the lives of all those men and women of God who have sacrificed so much including some of their family's needs to attend God's call.

Value the time a pastor dedicates to you, you don't know how much their own family would value that time.

Pray for us, extend grace, talk to us and not about us, love as we love, we are also saved by Grace, the same that you are! God’s grace, love and a relationship are what we all need in a world as todays!

Debbie B. - Health

This was a big week in my battle with cancer. On Thursday I saw the surgeon PA and she decided to remove the drain even though the fluid levels were slightly higher than she wanted. (I was 4 1/2 weeks with it.) I am to keep the armpit padded for 5 days to keep it from swelling. Will have a follow up on Wednesday.
Then I met with the radiation doctor and team.
Today I got to shower for the first time since the last surgery. What a wonderful feeling to be clean.
I am in the preventative maintenance phase of this battle.
Thanks for your prayers and support. Get those check ups and mammograms .

Marianne V. - Health

Tomorrow is a big day for my health. I’m going to do my second year check up cancer test. I’m little bit nervous, but I’m trusting God no matter the result. So far He is been faithful and He is showing me his love through my staff, they knew I was feeling nervous this couple days, and all my staff ( we are missing some on the picture) wrote in big card words of encouragement and love!  I mean…….🥹💕 I’m so grateful that God put me here in Bryan College Station, I can feel every day the love and the care from our staff and not only for me but for my entire family!                                                        The only thing that is in my heart and mind right now is: “I’m in HIS hand whatever the future holds, I’m in HIS hand “

Fred A. - Unspoken

Can't say much and it isn't any ONE THING, but please pray for me. My soul hurts right now.

Rose M. - Husband Jim's Health

Please pray for Jim’s Echo test today! Most of you know he had the widow maker over 15 years ago!  By God’s Grace and an amazing cardiologist  Dr Susan Jensen he survived with only a stent! Over the years he has done well with a few more stents!  His last echocardiogram  showed muscle decline so he was put on Entresto  and a strick plant based cardio program!  He has his test today to see if there’s been improvement !  He exercises and eats faithfully the plant based diet!  We believe with God’s special touch he will get a good report!  We are leaving for London in a few days to see our new granddaughter  Sofia rose!  Thanks in advance for joining me in prayer and to the God who is so faithful and is our healer!!!

Pray for Afghanistan - Earthquake

Another strong earthquake shook Afghanistan Wednesday morning just days after two major earthquakes in the area killed thousands of people and flattened buildings.

The 6.3 magnitude earthquake occurred in the northwest region of the country, 17 miles outside of Herat, and was nine miles deep, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.

Herat's regional hospital received 117 people with injuries from the earthquake, Doctors Without Borders

It flattened all 700 homes in the Chahak village, which was untouched by the previous earthquakes, The Associated Press reported. People in the village have taken shelter in tents and are scared of potential aftershocks.

"So far, over 90% of those reported killed by the earthquake are women and children. And just this morning, another 6.3-magnitude quake shook the western provinces,” UNICEF Afghanistan posted.

The earthquake on Saturday, 25 miles northwest of Herat City, was one of the deadliest earthquakes to strike the country, the AP reported. A Taliban government spokesperson said Sunday that 2,000 people died and many more sustained injuries.

The quake was followed by three aftershocks with magnitudes of 6.3, 5.9 and 5.5. People attempted to dig out the dead and possible survivors from beneath collapsed buildings on Sunday with their hands.

Earthquakes are common in Afghanistan, where there are a number of fault lines and frequent movement along tectonic plates. The area is still reeling from a 6.5 magnitude earthquake that hit it in March, along with nearby Pakistan, and another in June that killed 1,000 people.

Pakistan has offered assistance to the area but supplies have yet to be shipped out, the AP reported.

Johnathan M. - Health

Well I’ve been debating this. But wanted to be raw with everyone.
First of all I finally made it out of hospital today.
They don’t have a liver doctor and said they done all they can do.
They did the drain as I mentioned… but they found Bacteria in the fluid which caused me to be on the brink of being septic.
I felt like I was poisoned… on top of all the other stuff I was going through I felt and still kinda feel just blah.
So it was such a blessing and such a relief once the drain happened… but I still am fighting the bacteria In my body as we speak.
I didn’t want to offend anyone but that is why I kinda distanced myself and wouldn’t allow visitors… I was very I’ll and had a hard time even smiling.
I still am as well.
But if I’ve offended anyone please don’t be. I love you guys .
With that said…
Everyone knows I’ve been on a weight loss journey.
I started in April and weighed in at 333lbs.
Two weeks ago I was at 262lbs and as of today I’m 233. Lost 29 lbs in two weeks 😬

I couldn’t eat drink or hardly had energy… it’s been a rough ride.

Good news is I lost allot of weight quickly.
Bad news is… it malnourished me 😂😂😂

Also they found more blood clots in my spleen and changed my status to Decompensated liver failure.
“I Already know what some of you all are thinking… trust me… I’m just being raw here and sharing what has been told to us by doctors … God Trumps Doctors…

I’m still rough guys but I’ve kept the faith and my inner man is ready to get back after it!
But this will be a slow journey back to health.
Cool part is my amazing Christian Doctor at Mercy himself said… get plugged into Barnes and Washington University ASAP

So… that’s our goal.
To keep moving forward… keep the faith and to fight to get the health care and insurance I need to get back on track!

Please hear me… I believe in healing… and if you don’t think I want to be healed your smoking the good stuff… 😳 but at this moment we are doing everything we can spiritually and physically.

I have peace and I do believe I will be healed.
I also believe he’s using me as a missionary to speak to doctors nurses etc in multiple different cities throughout MIssouri.
I don’t have the answers… and neither did Job or his friends.
Please keep praying… please keep fanning our flames and reminding us of the promises of God.
I love you all more than you’ll ever know.

Job 1:21 And he said: “Naked I came from my mother’s womb, And naked shall I return there. The Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away; Blessed be the name of the Lord.”

Steffany's Daughter Update

Thank you for all your prayers and for all your love, my friends. Rain is ok. Hopefully we are closer to a diagnosis so she can manage this.

Darlene's Niece Jenn Update

Update:
Jenn is almost off the IV drip and her doctor is encouraged at her levels so far today.
Her cancer is Stage 3, which means it was centrally located with no lateral lymph node cancer.  Likely no metastasis.
Her next step is to receive radioactive iodine to determine metastasis yes or no. That will be in about 6 weeks, as her body needs to heal.
Due to her age and what they found in surgery,  she is expected to live a normal life.

Darlene R. - Niece Jenn's Health

Heavenly Father, It is so hard to watch Jenn suffer. It doesn’t seem fair for her to have to endure so much pain. Even though I am powerless, I believe that you are powerful and capable of stepping into this situation and completely altering the outcome. In faith, I am responding to the promises in your word that you listen to our prayers and those prayers can make her well. So, I am bringing my niece before you to ask for your healing touch in her life. Thank you for the forgiveness of sin and the promise of eternal healing, but I am asking you to provide healing for her on this side of heaven. Amen.

Roof collapse - 11 dead

A church roof collapsed in northeast Mexico, leaving eight adults and three children dead, officials said. The deceased were all members of the same family who were attending a 1-year-old’s baptism.

Some 300 people had been in the sanctuary for Mass at a Santa Cruz church in Ciudad Madero on Sunday, moments before the roof collapsed, leaving 100 people injured and dozens trapped. By Monday evening, authorities had cleared the site and revealed the number of deceased, saying no other victims were found.

Monica Segura, who was standing near the church when its roof fell Sunday, said the collapse "happened in a matter of seconds" when a "beam fell and immediately the roof fell."

"I was trapped," Segura said. "I had my other (2-year-old) baby in my arms. Someone helped me get the baby out and I was able to get out a window and then we returned to look for my other girl. She was trapped in the rubble." She said her 1-year-old nephew suffered a broken arm.
