Good morning, Golden State Officers,

I’m emailing to ask for your prayers for the Wright family.

 

Yesterday morning Major Turnie W. mom had a heart attack as she was preparing to leave for the corps. Her niece rushed her to the hospital, and they were able to stabilize her, but couldn’t perform surgery due to her age. This morning Turnie got word that his mom’s kidneys are also failing.

 

Turnie is flying to Denver today to be with his mom and meet up with his family.  I assured him of our support and prayers.

Christopher K. - Dad's Health

Thank you for your prayers and support.l for my dad. He has a congenative lung disease. Made is bad to breath already but pneumonia made it extremely difficult to breath on Tuesday early morning. Trip to ER through ambulance. Spent one night in ICU. 

Now in regular room. He is staying at least through the weekend in the hospital. 

They are trying to get pneumonia treated so he can breath a little easier. He is coughing but seems better than yesterday when I came to visit him.

He is still needing a lot of prayers.

Chris G. - Family and Health

We have a home! Joanne, Micah, and I would like to thank all of those who prayed for our family in this situation. We were able to sign a lease last night for a home in Anaheim Hills. I am most grateful to those of you who reached out personally via phone or DM and shared wonderful prayers for us. 

The short of it is that during my five month stay in the hospital last year, I was without an income and fell behind on my bills due to failing health. we asked that you continue to pray for our family and the transition into our new home as I am still dealing with my overall health.

A call-out to my prayer warriors - I need your prayers. I am seeking a paid position where I can apply my massive skills. I am seeking a position in data entry, safety, training and volunteer management. I hold a Master degree in Business Administration and am very adept at office work. If you can please pray that it is in His will that I find a position where I can help those who help others. If you have any leads, please let me know.

Joanna W. - Dad's Health

Grateful for this reminder this morning.  Please pray for my family, especially my parents.  We just found out last night that my dad has colon cancer. We don't know how bad it is. There will be a lot more testing done next week and I will update as we hear. My parents' trust in the Lord is such a beautiful example to us. My dad is one of my favorite people in the world and an incredible dad, husband, grandpa, brother, pastor....I am beyond blessed and grateful to be his daughter. ❤️

Dawn S. - Della's Health

Lt. Colonel Della R.(94) fell on Christmas Day.  She was transported by ambulance to Palomar Hospital in Escondido where a C-Scan showed a spinal fracture. 

 

Lt. Colonel Evelyn H. and Major Joyce S. were able to be with her in a private ER room until late that evening. On Wednesday December 27^th she was transferred to Ocean View Post Acute in Escondido for 3 weeks of physical therapy, etc.  It will then be determined if she will be able to return to her residence.  

 

Please keep Lt. Colonel Della in your prayers as well as Evelyn and Joyce as they make the right decisions for her future care.

Nancy D. - Ruth's Health

Major Ruth B. had a fall at home and was hospitalized for observation. She is back at home now, but she and the Birks family would appreciate your prayers on her behalf.  

Nancy D. - Lynn's Health

Major Lynn R., (Retired Officer – Sun City, AZ) – would like to thank her Army family for the prayers lifted on her behalf since her fall on November 17.  Following a week in the hospital post hip surgery and pacemaker placement, and 2 ½ weeks at the rehabilitation hospital, Major Lynn is being discharged home today.

 

She has made great strides in her recovery, but still has more milestones to meet. She will have various family members with her over the next month to help in her continued recovery along with in home medical, physical, and occupational therapy. Please continue to pray for Major Lynn as she carries on with her rehabilitation at home.

Please keep Major Ray D. in your prayers. He was admitted to hospital yesterday in respiratory difficulty and is currently receiving treatment.

Jim G. - Rachel's Health

Asking prayers for my wife and I. She sees her oncologist tomorrow (quarterly check up) to make sure her cancer has not spread. Praying also for a decrease of the tumor in her eye. God knows our needs. Thank you.

My dad is being taken to the hospital from the rehab facility. His oxygen levels have dropped and he needs prayer now. Please pray for him, his doctors and his family as we are all very worried.

Cindy R. - Brothers Health

Hell-o my sweet Facebook friends, my brother has asked me to ask you all for prayer. He has found out today that he has an inoperable tumor between his lungs and issues with his lymph nodes. He will find out more next week but, what is more powerful than your prayers. He is a wonderful brother and he and his wife Tammy take the best care of our 94 year old mom.
