IM Division Prayer Request

Major George B. experienced chest discomfort and was admitted to St. Anthony's Hospital in Denver earlier today. The doctors have ruled out a heart attack and will be conducting further tests. Major George B. will most likely remain in the hospital overnight.

TSA Territorial Prayer Requests

CALL TO PRAYER
“Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful.” Colossians 4:2, NIV

The Salvation Army Call to Prayer line for February 19 2009: Please Pray for the following:

1. Continue to pray for those in Australia’s Southeastern State of Victoria who have lost so much in the recent bushfires. Salvation Army disaster assistance workers are helping aid the families who have lost so much in the terrible disaster.

2. Pray for those impacted by the tragic crash of Continental Flight 3407 near Buffalo, NY last Thursday night, asking God’s comforting presence for those who lost loved ones and help for those who lost property and must manage the aftermath.

3. Pray for the health and recovery of our economy, as many are hurting and struggling under current conditions. Pray for those who are unemployed, for those who have lost their homes, for those who are unemployed, for those whose businesses are suffering because of the economic downturn.

4. The first 100 days are crucial to any new leader or administration. President Obama has been in office just thirty days. Pray for him, his family and his administration by joining the Presidential Prayer Team “Praying Through the first 100 days 1/20-4/29/09 “ at wwwpresidentialprayerteam.org.

5. Give thanks for the many recent references to prayer made by President Obama, asking that his heart will continue to be turned toward God and prayer, and that our nation will be united in prayer for our leaders and the great concerns they face.

6. Pray for our troops as they serve, particularly Marines and Army soldiers deploying to Afghanistan in the coming weeks and months-asking Gods protection and care for each one.

7. Pray for the International Salvation Army and our leaders: General Shaw Clifton, Commissioner Helen Clifton, Commissioners Israel and Eva Gaither, and our Territorial Leaders: Commissioners Philip and Pat Swyers, Lt. Colonels William and Susan Harfoot, the THQ Cabinet and staff, and each Divisional Leader, Corps officer and staff.

8. Pray for the protection of children living in troubled parts of the world who are victims of human trafficking and the sex trade

9. Pray for the following: Laura, “A sister in Christ” who requests that we pray for her healing from depression, anxiety and low self worth, for Jolene Hood, daughter of Commissioners Kenneth and Barbara Hood, who will have surgery on February 20 for a kidney tumor; Hannah Danielson, daughter of Lt. Colonels Doug and Rhode Danielson, receiving treatment for infection and high fever; Susan McCulley, recovering from major surgery; Trish P. who was called home to be with her stepfather Al Kevorkian, suffering from a terminal illness; Sandy Craft, daughter of Majors Ed & Eleanor Henderson, a tumor on her brain; for the Boyd family and the health of Chris & Jeff’s unborn baby; for Terra Kammerer, Goodyear, diabetes; Major Pat Jolly, health issues; Captain David Allen, who suffered a fall; Major Dennis Trimmer who suffered a bad fall and broke his arm, Major John Tumey; Mrs. Harryette Bowen; Angelica for strength, faith and prosperity. For Jonathan, successful heart surgery; Craig of Texas asks for prayer; Artie, of Santa Clara Corps, health problems; Major Thomas Mui, surgery, Major Joe Thompson; Merly A., healing and for her family; Soldiers and friends who are trusting God for healing.

10.Pray for: Captain Melanie Chandler of the Harrisburg, Pa ARC scheduled for surgery on Feb 23, for Aux Capt Ligia Ambriz traveling to Olympia to be with her daughter and newborn grandson Davis who is in ICU; Major Diana Trimmer under treatment for diverticulitis; Captain Camie Potter worried about her aged grandmother, Majors Jane and John Horgan, Jane is recovering following her second surgery, John is receiving home care; Bill & Carol of Ohio, health and financial needs; Rosemary Abernathy, prayer for her unborn granddaughter diagnosed with lung cysts; Major Ed Scriven, in hospital for tests; Mrs. Lt. Colonel Alice Smith, Dana Johnson; A/Capt Evelyn Smith; Major Hazel Irby; Brigadier Izzy Boyington; Brigadier Margaret Laverty; Brigadier Martha Hansen; Major Rusty Tomlinson, and other retired officers who have not been well.

11. Pray for those being treated for cancer: Major Ben LaBarge, beginning his cancer treatment in a few days; major donor, Ken Bond of Phoenix, cancer reoccurrence; Major Sheila Bradley, home following bone marrow transplant, Barbara Newbould, receiving chemo treatments; Major Ed Ringle, chemotherapy; Karen, colon cancer; Michelle Solts Major Henry Graciano; C.P. Yang-Looker, brain tumor; Sam and Mary Sims; Jewel Menard of San Luis Obispo, Lymphoma; Captain Stephen Sutter beginning new chemo treatments; Dale Hill Jr.; Eleanor; Karen Imai; Major Dallas Pedersen; Eileen O'Brien; Jacob Galland; Major Bill Dickinson; Mrs. Captain Sylvia Waldron; Dick Youngworth; Sue Ellen's Mom; Harley Plumlee. of Arkansas, prostate cancer; and others. Pray for great faith and great healing miracles!

12.Pray for the family and friends of those recently Promoted to Glory: Mrs. Lt Colonel Gertrude Angel, family; Judy and Richard Richmond, Jacelyn and Les Sainsbury, Robert and June Angel, Major Ken Angel, Major Bunny Lane and their families, for the family of Lloyd “Joe” Gilger, father of Major Don Gilger, Betty Lou Green, aunt of Major Laura Sullivan, family of Major Gloria Utrera, her husband Juvencio (Joe), and their children; and for Chuck and Delores McKinivan in the tragic death of their son Donald. May God give His comfort and healing.

Intermountain Divisional Headquarters Prayer Requests

-We are deeply saddened at the passing of Steven Hubbard the brother of Major Deborah G. Steven was Promoted to Glory at 3:00 AM Friday morning February 20, 2009. This was after a long extended illness and time in the hospital. The family is comforted knowing that Steven is with the Lord and his younger brother, who both had Polio in their youth.

-Brandon H. 6 year old son of Captains Mike & Nancy H. was diagnosed with pneumonia over the weekend and is currently receiving treatment and Poudre Valley Hospital in Fort Collins, CO. Please keep Brandon and family in your prayers.

Major's Jones and little Evan as he continues to grow stronger.
Sedona P., (Colonel's granddaughter) as she also is home and needs our prayers for continued increased health and growth.
Major Deborah G. and family. Her brother was promoted to Glory early this morning and she was able to be with him and the family. Services will be tomorrow.
Major Don G. and family with the promotion to Glory of his father, and whose services were yesterday.
Major Laura S. and family with the Promotion to Glory of Major Laura's aunt, Betty Lou G., whose services were Monday.
