Leticia S.

Major Leticia S. has been placed in Comfort Care at Straub Hospital in Honolulu. It is fully expected that she will be Promoted to Glory in the next day or so. Major Brian and Holden truly appreciate the prayerful support that has been given them by comrades throughout the Western Territory. While they are grieving, they are also fully confident in God's goodness and faithfulness. Leticia has expressed that she is ready to be with the Lord forever. We celebrate the imminent reality of her future glory.

May the Lord be with Brian and Holden during this difficult time. May His peace be upon them to comfort and strenthen them. May the Lord hold Leticia's hand as he calls her home! May the Lord pour His Spirit upon this family!

Rev. 21: 10-11> And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and shewed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God, Having the glory of God: and her light was like unto a stone most precious, even like a jasper stone, clear as crystal;

Kettle Workers

Please lift all the Kettle workers up in your prayers as they are out ringing the bells to raise money for The Salvation Army. Today is perhaps going to be the coldest day of the year. It's 3 degrees now in Denver towards the afternoon. May the Lord strengthen each one and give them the stamina to stay warm. May the Lord Be with them and speak to each one today!

Evan Update

From my wife's sister:
By the way - Evan is doing well. The doctor said that when he was putting in the tubes, most of the infection had already cleared up. The tubes will hopefully keep him from getting ear infections in the near future which is the key since he is allergic to the most common remedy - the amoxicillin antibiotic. Thanks all for your prayer support.

Praise the Lord for little Evan's health. May He continue to strengthen him physically and fill his spirit!

Mike G

Mike, a long time employee of The Salvation Army, passed away last night. After he he completed playing his bass guitar, raising money for The Salvation Army Kettle, he collapsed. He was pronounced dead at the University Hospital.

May the Lord be with his family during this difficult time of loss. May His Spirit be upon them to comfort and to strengthen them. May the Lord go before them and bless them as they prepare for the funeral. May this funeral be a celebration of Mike's legacy. In all, may God get all the glory and honor!

Little Evan

from my wife's sister:
Evan's pediatrician sent me to the ENT Specialist at Children's Hospital today following his check-up. He said that the build-up of fluid and puss behind his ear was concerning him. We went to the specialist. She agreed it was in very bad condition. She wasn't able to drain his ear because it would be too painful without sedating him. So - He has an appointment for Monday morning at 6.40 am to prep for his surgery. His surgery will be at 8.40 am. Not only will they drain the ear but we've decided that he should go ahead and get tubes put in since this would prevent most ear infections in the future. And since he's allergic to a common antibiotic, that would be a smart thing to do. He is a good boy. Praise God for flexible and good-spirited kids.

May the Lord go before Evan and prepare the way for his surgery! May the Lord be with the Doctors/helpers as they get ready for this surgery. May the Lord comfort and pour His wonderful peace upon the Jones family during this anxious/difficult time. Above all, may God be glorified in this event in Evan's life!

Tom F.

I share with you the following information on Captain Tom F. Captain Tom F. has been battling a number of debilitating health conditions and has now experienced further serious setbacks including the need to remain on oxygen when ambulatory (caused by pulmonary arterial hypertension). There is also the possibility of lymphoma in the liver/pancreas but we are hopeful that tests will reveal benign mesenteric panniculitis. A more complete diagnosis will be known on December 7. This is obviously an extremely difficult time for Tom, Laura and daughter Meaghan. Your prayers are greatly needed and deeply appreciated.

May the Lord be upon Tom! May He give Tom the strength and comfort during this difficult time. May His Healing Hand touch Tom's body and Heal Tom! May the Lord comfort Laura and Meaghan during this difficult time. As with Job in the Bible, may Tom continue to be used mightily to give God the glory and honor! May all who hear and see Tom's battle with his health see the grand victory in Christ!

Kettle Workers

Please pray for our bell ringers as they are out ringing the bell to raise funds for the Salvation Army. Today, it snowed. May the Lord shine through these folks as they greet each one who passes by. May they be kept healthy and warm today (and all the days ahead). Praise the Lord!

Baby Evan

This prayer request is from Ann (my wife's sister).
Well, I ended up taking Evan to the ER again about 4.30 am this morning (12/01). He was wheezing and had broken out in hives and blisters. The doctor believes that it is still an allergic reaction to the amoxicillin. He was given a breathing treatment, 2 doses of Benadryl and 2 steroid injections in the legs. His ear was still very bad.Later today, I will give him one more dose of the steroid. Please pray this will be the end of it. If it gets worse, he will need to be admitted.
For now, he is at least sleeping.

May the Lord continue to strengthen Evan and heal him completely! May He give Ann and Gwyn and family comfort during this difficult time. May His Peace be upon them! In all, may little Evan's experience be used mightily to give God all the Glory and Honor!
