“Prayer is neither a reminder to God of what we need, as though He had forgotten us, nor is it a formal act of mere outward reverence to impress God by a ceremony. It really is an attitude of spirit to prepare us for what we need and to qualify us to receive what God has provided and also to express our gratitude to Him for His goodness.”
