Men's Camp

We finished our Men's Camp at Camp Homelani (May 15-17). It was great. It was a mountaintop experience. Please pray that the Word of God that was sowed by Michael Collins will sprout and grow in the lives of each man who heard it. May each man remember what they've heard and the commitments that they've made. Continue to pray for them and their families. May God be glorified in each of these men!

Hawaii Encore

Praise the Lord that our Hawaii Encore competition went really well. The Singing Companies (Kaluela, Kroc, and Hilo) did great....congrats to Kaluela Corps for winning and representing our Division. The Kaneohe dancing team, Hilo Trimbrel, Kroc horn, pianos, and solo singer did superb and will also represent our Division! To God be the Glory to each and everyone who shared. May our Lord continue to draw each young people unto Himself through this experience. Praise the Lord to all the leaders and helpers. Special thanks to our DMD...Crystal N. for her leadership in putting this Encore together.

Brett H. - Health

Our Youth Director, Brett H., collapsed 'fainted' this morning right before church started. The ambulance came, checked on him, and told him to get some rest. He went home. Continue to pray for Brett's health. May God strengthen and comfort Brett during this time.

Patricia C - Farewell

Patricia is a walking testimony. Her life was changed by the power of Jesus Christ. She became a born again believer, served at our Corps - volunteering for a lot of things, including our social services program giving out food and praying with people, Christmas kettles, and leading our Adult Sunday School. She will be missed! She goes out to her new mission field to Maui, where she will be with her son and family, and see how she can get connected and minister at the Salvation Army there. To God be the Glory for shinning through sister Patricia!

New Soldiers

Please lift up Giola, Patricia, Togo, Sandy, and Bryant up in your prayers as they have made a commitment today to become soldiers 'church members' of the Salvation Army Hilo Temple Corps. They have taken doctrinal classes and had wonderful discussion to what it means to be soldiers. May God go before them and prepare their path in serving Him through the ministries of The Salvation Army. In all, may God be Glorify through their precious lives!
