The Salvation Army Call to Prayer for March 25 2010
Following is this week’s list of urgent prayer requests:
Join others around the nation in praying for our nation and our President right now:
“Almighty God and Father, our hearts are weary and torn, and we feel distress in our spirits because we have been through so much in observing the House of Representatives deal contentiously with one another. As a nation we do not desire to be divided; yet as we each consider issues from our own perspectives, we may be in danger of losing Yours. Help us, O Lord to humble ourselves under Your might hand, and then to find confidence in Your sovereignty.”
“Father, Thank You for the United States and its government. I pray for our President, the national and local government, the judges, the policemen, the business leaders and all those who are in leadership positions in the country. Please protect them from the evil that is in the world and keep them safe and free from all harm.
‘You have promised to bless any nation that follows after You. Help us to live quiet and peaceful lives so that we can continue to spread the Good News of the Gospel throughout our land. In Jesus Name, Amen” (From www.presidentialprayerteam. org)
1. Pray for the safety of our soldiers fighting for freedom in Afghanistan. Encourage their families, who also give great personal sacrifices. Comfort those who have lost loved ones.
2. Pray for every Salvation Army leader around the world: For General Shaw and Commissioner Helen Clifton, Commissioners Gaither; each International Leader, Western Territorial leaders; Commissioners Philip and Patricia Swyers, Colonels William and Susan Harfoot, THQ Cabinet and Staff, Divisional Leaders, ARC Officers, Corps Officers, Cadets and Employees. Pray for Commissioners James and Carolyn Knaggs, who will become Western Territorial leaders effective July 1, 2010. God Bless the Salvation Army!

Pray for those in need of God’s healing touch: Barbara Johnson of Sedona a possible aneurism, pray for successful treatment and complete healing; For Loretta, of Las Vegas, for successful surgery and healing; Chris, of Bournemouth, England for healing; Larry and Daniel Halverson; John B. healing; for Steve; Mary Kyle; A/Captain Elsie Lantz; Majors John & Patricia Rhemick’s daughter, Kathleen Wreath; Brett & Lorena Strickland; for Jane Brown; Jennifer R and her husband; for Major Dennis and Diana Trimmer; Captain Spousta, awaiting back surgery.

Pray for: for Auxiliary Member, Janie Shelton’s, daughter, April, in need of heart and lung transplant and for granddaughter, Abrey, needing medical treatment; for Jackie B.’s daughter-in-law’s mother;; Major Antonio Horta hospital; Marie Henderson, in hospital: Captain Gina Halverson; Major Jennifer Bates; Aubree; for James Shull; for Sheryl Callahan’s mother, Malva Farrell; Major Joe Thompson; Bill and Carol; ARC Staff, Employees, Beneficiaries, Adherents, Volunteers, Donors, and Shoppers, may God bless this program to His Glory!

For the families of those recently bereaved: Thirty-four year old Brian Charles Beaver son of Richard & Karen Beaver, grandson of Majors Richard and Martha passed away in his sleep March 20; for Major Deborah Greene, whose mother Georgia Hubbard was Promoted to Glory on March 21; Georgiana Perazzo, sister of Major Laurie Kirk on March 15; for Major Steve, Jonathan and Aleen Bradley in the Promotion to Glory of Major Sheila Bradley; for the family of Emelly, granddaughter of Majors Carlos and Rosa Rodriquez.
