Silvia S. - Cascade Division Prayers

Good Evening friends,

I pray that you all had a good weekend, and hope you were able to take some rest. As we continue to navigate this season and seek for new opportunities to ministry in our communities, tonight I will share a report from Coos Bay Corps from our Envoys Dennis and Tawnya Stumpt.

Here is what’s Envoy Tawnya says:

Where to begin? What to say? These times are so unusual. Most of our programs have been put on hold… the thrift store, the firewood, the after-school program…

We continue to find ways to reach out to our people weekly. Just last week Misti and Carol took journaling packets with cards to all our Women’s Ministry ladies. Along with these journaling notebooks the ladies are being encouraged to write a note to someone who may need a pick-me-up. We have quite a few older adults who are on “lockdown” and cannot go out or allow others in. They can receive mail… We also are continuing to encourage the WM ladies to place a “blessing” note in their “Jar of blessing”. You see, in January we decorated large mouthed mason jars. We secured 52 2x3 cardstock to the rim with ribbon. On these 2x3 cards we have been listing 1 blessing a week. We were going to share these “blessing” toward the end of December, reflecting upon Gods goodness to us.

Isaiah 40:31 : “But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They walk and not faint”.

Let’s pray:

Dear Lord, we are thankful for everything you have done for us. Thank you for the opportunities that we have to ministry to your people even during this difficult time. We are thankful for you grace and mercy. Father tonight we want to lift up the leadership of Coos Bay Corps, employees and volunteers who still taking time to encourage their people. Father be with them, renew their strength and give them the assurance that you are with them.

Father we also pray for our Cascade Division. We are thankful for each one of our officers, employees and volunteers. It is wonderful to see our people helping one another and working togheter as a team. We pray for a double portion of your spirit and also we pray that they will continue to find rest and hope in you. In Jesus name we pray,

Amen!

Again, if you have a praise report that you can tell in a few paragraphs, please send to us. We would love to hear from you and share your blessings.
