Territorial Prayers

November 15, 2007. Please pray for the following prayer needs this week:

1. As the nation pauses to observe the Thanksgiving holiday this next week, pray that the practice of giving gratitude and thanks to God will grow in our country, defeating cynicism and discouragement among all our citizens. Pray for an outpouring of praise to our loving God.

2. Pray for President Bush as he continues to urge democracy and order in Pakistan and all nations of the region. Pray for God's hand to move powerfully to bring peace in every area of unrest.

3. Lawmakers, clergy and others have joined together on the steps of the Georgia State Capitol to pray for rain for the parched state. Pray that rain will come soon and that God will be glorified.

4. Give thanks for our troops, praising God for their dedicated service as they protect our freedoms. Pray that those who will celebrate the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays away from their families will be strengthened and comforted by God.

5. Pray for General Shaw Clifton, for his leadership and that the powerful, healing touch of God will bring about a complete recovery! And pray for Commissioner Helen Clifton, Commissioners Israel and Eva Gaither, Commissioners Philip and Pat Swyers, Lt. Colonels Don and Debi Bell, THQ staff, and every Divisional Commander and staff. May they be blessed by God as they share the Good News of the Gospel!

6. Pray for children who live in troubled parts of the world. Pray for their daily care and protection and that adults will show love and a good example.

7 Pray the this year's Christmas Programs and fundraising efforts will be successful and that many needy families will be given hope and help to better their lives beginning with this Christmas season.

8. Pray for the following who need our prayers: Major Candi Frizzell as she ministers to the flood stricken areas of Tobasco, Mexico, Major Glen Doss, back surgery this week, Sue-Ellen's mother, Major Mary West of Wooster, Ohio who suffered serious injuries, Cathy Chamberlain's mother, who has a pancreatic tumor, for Calvin Brice, recovery from knee surgery, Cathy Chamberlain and her family, for Tammy, hernia surgery, for Prescott Wilson, serious burns, for Dwayne as he returns to Iraq on November 26. Pray for Major Jeanne Baker's uncle, Dave, for Jean, for Mandy Eakins and her family, Major Ruth Olsen, Major Martha Beaver, therapy for wrist and hip injuries, Majors Hector and Gerde Ramos whose son Danny, is waiting for a heart and kidney transplant, for Ryan that he will be kept safe, for Denise, for Brian Phelps, for Captain Brenda Smith, Frances Janssen, Dottie and David, Rachel, Mike and their family, for Raul and his family, for Michelle, Jane and Artis, and our retired officers who have not been well: Lt. Colonel Dave Allen, Major Joe Thompson, Major Bob Smith, and others.

9. Pray for those fighting cancer: Lt. Colonel April Strickland, cancer surgery on November 27, Lt. Colonel Robert Bodine, completing medical treatments, Bernice, cancer surgery, Colonel Diane Hogan, Sue Ellen's Mom, lymphoma, David R., lymphoma, Bernice of Tucson, for Dick Wiseman, Captain Diane McEaneney, Major Ann Patterson, Major Sheila Bradley, Major Dallas Pedersen, Florence, Eddie, Andrea Smith, Robert Wilson, Katie, Dina, and others. May God give each one faith, courage and a wonderful healing miracle!

10. Pray for the families of those recently been Promoted to Glory: Major Debbie Hood's father, Sam Ragle, and Diane Keate who lost her father, Lloyd Jackson. Also, pray for the family of A/Captain Gene Lantz, and others. May their families be comforted by God and know of our love and sympathy.

11. It is less than one year until the next presidential election. Pray for the candidates, their campaigns and for God's will to be done in the primary process. The new PraytheVote web site is at: www.praythevote.org.
