Hello, all.

I'm passing along details from an update received from our Sierra del Mar EDS team earlier today, for your information and internal communication purposes if needed.

In response to the mass shooting that occurred on Wednesday, December 2, 2015, The Salvation Army Disaster Team deployed to The Rudy Hernandez Community Center, where families were being reunited.
    • The Disaster Team deployed at 3pm on Dec. 2, and remained on site until the center closed at 8:30pm
    • The team was prepared with water, Gatorade and snacks for families who waited long hours to be reunited with loved ones.
    • The Salvation Army also provided comfort and prayer to grieving families.
Over 300 people were served by The Salvation Army yesterday, and with centers in San Bernardino and Redlands, as well as throughout the Inland Empire, The Salvation Army is prepared whatever support as needed.

“Our hearts go out to everyone affected by this tragedy,” says Major Daniel Henderson of the San Bernardino Salvation Army Corps Community Center. “Our community and the world is devastated by what happened, and we’ll have to move forward together, hand in hand.”

Salvation Army locations in San Bernardino went on lock-down and all Bell Ringers were picked up from local stores.
