CALL TO PRAYER!
The Salvation Army Call to Prayer for February 11, 2010
Following is the list of this week’s list of urgent prayer requests:
1.Pray for our Western Territorial team and other Salvation Army workers who are working with Haitian Officers and soldiers to bring much needed medical, water and food assistance to the victims of the disaster. Pray for long term reconstruction plans for Haiti. May God protect and keep safe our teams as they reach out to help.
2.Pray for the Community Relations Department, as they share the Salvation Army message with the media and others. Staff request wisdom and prayer as they share what the Salvation Army is and what we are doing to help others with compassion and integrity.
3.Pray for President Obama and his Administration, Congressional leaders, and those who will be meeting at the health care summit on February 25 to address divisive issues and to reconcile anticipated reform legislation. There are no easy solutions. Pray that they will be given divine guidance!
4.Pray for our Military serving in all parts of the world, and for their families. Protect them and encourage their families, who also give great personal sacrifices for our Country and way of life.
5.Pray for the Salvation Army leadership around the world: General Shaw and Commissioner Helen Clifton, Commissioners Gaither; International Leaders, and for our Western Territorial leaders; Commissioners Philip and Patricia Swyers, Colonels William and Susan Harfoot, THQ Cabinet and staff, Divisional Leaders, ARC Officers, Corps Officers, Cadets and employees.. God Bless The Salvation Army!
6.Pray for: Martin Hunt, as he recovers from recent surgery, Major Mick Souders, scheduled for surgery; A/Captain Elsie Lantz, in a serious auto accident; Majors John & Patricia Rhemick’s daughter, Kathleen Wreath, surgery; Major Ron Toy, health issues; Major Ed Covert, bad fall; Major Robert Smith;, Brett & Lorena Strickland; Major Sheila Bradley; Captain Jack Smith, and his mother and father; Captain Jennifer Schapals; Captain Tom Fenton; Capt Ron McKinney; for Jane Brown; Jennifer R and her husband; for Major Dennis and Diana Trimmer;for Major Jerry Ames; for Devon “Kaipo” Yamada in hospital; Kwai Gasper, in ICU; for Tylene Paia Mala; for Officers whose hearts are heavy regarding their children’s marital discord.
7.Pray for: Corps Officers, caring for bereaved members of their Corps; for Jackie B.’s daughter-in-law’s mother in hospital; Major Antonio Horta, in hospital; Marie Henderson, in hospital: Captain Gina Halverson; Major Jennifer Bates; Aubree; for James Shull; for Kendra Holly’s father; for Sheryl Callahan’s mother, Malva Farrell; Major Joe Thompson; Bill and Carol; for the ARC program, staff, employees, beneficiaries, adherents, volunteers, donors and shoppers, may God bless this program to His Glory!
8.Pray for: Harry Sparks, bad fall; for Kelly; for Maritza D. and her son; for Max, the grandson of Rosemarie and Brian Abernethy; Captain Vera Villanea health issues; for Alicia; Burt Stack ; Mike and Lisa Schneider; Dick Wiseman, Lorin & Millie Corlis; for Easter Soli; for Ann; John Boner; Chaplain Michael Lopez.
9.For Retired officers: Major Mick Souders; for Major Kay Stoop’s, in hospital with serious health issues: Major Les Brooks, health issues; Majors Bob and Jean Anderson, health issues; for Majors Don and Rachel Bowman’s daughter, DeDe; Major Maddie Rizzi, hearing; for Major Ben Meyer; Major Harold Stromberg; Mrs. Lt. Colonel Alice Smith; A/Capt Evelyn Smith; Major Hazel Irby, pneumonia; Majors Jane and John Horgan; Brigadier Izzy Boyington; Brigadier Martha Hansen; Major Rusty Tomlinson; and others who have not been well.

May God give each family and friend a double portion of His love and comfort.
