Steve S. - Surgery/Recovery

There is a new medical issue I would like to share with you at this time. I wish I was done with these things, but this one came as a complete surprise to me.

I fell off a treadmill in our house on December 30. After a visit to the ER, some X-rays to confirm I didn’t break anything, and an MRI last Friday, it has been confirmed that I suffered a complete tear in the rotator cuff in my left shoulder. I had to go and look that one up. Long story short, the tendons connecting the muscles in my shoulder to the shoulder bone completely tore. If I want to gain any use of my left arm again, the muscles have to be reattached surgically. I have surgery scheduled for Wednesday, January 22, at 6:30AM. My surgeon said it's a long and very painful recovery and rehabilitation process that could last anywhere from 6-10 months.

This means I have to postpone my trip to Micronesia yet once again. We are still conducting the pastoral/missionary online training for Micronesians through the Liebenzell USA Global Impact Academy.

All I can say is I’ll keep you all updated on the healing progress and that I would appreciate your strong prayers for me.

In Christ’s Strong Grip,

Steve

Ernest I. - health

✝️ Request for Prayer 🙏
I just spent almost seven hours last night (01/03/25) in the hospital ER. I was diagnosed with Influenza Type A and my blood pressure was in the low 80's.
I first noticed light body aches on Mon. (12/30) after HemoDialysis treatment and increasing to severe body pain late Tues. evening (12/31) so much that just moving was extremely painful.
I tried to sleep it off on Wed. (01/01/25) without much success.
Thu. (01/02/25) was challenging to get to my HemoDialysis appointment and sit there for the 4 hour treatment.
The hospital ER took an EKG, Blood Labs, Chest X-Ray, Chest and Abdominal CT Scan, and administered intravenous Antibiotics and Pain Killer.
It should be more comfortable at today's HemoDialysis appointment with a little less body pain from the Flu-A.
Thank You! ❤️

Julie S- Son's Health

2/2 - 4:45am - after almost 8 hours in the ER, the Dr just came and said they are going to admit him again. The good news, there is nothing life threatening, but his stomach doesn’t seem to be emptying correctly.

So here are my stats…we have been dealing with this illness for 22 days, 3 ER trips (with admission each time) and 16 nights in the hospital and counting… I gotta say… this is exhausting.

Prayers from Children
