TSA Western Territory Prayer Requests

CALL TO PRAYER!

The Salvation Army Call to Prayer for Sunday November 29, 2009.

This week begins with the First Sunday in Advent. In Churches around the world and in Salvation Army Corps we will be celebrating The Answer to prayer of centuries before of prayer for The Messiah. For the next four Sundays of Advent, our prayers will be focused on the glorious gift that God sent, His Own Son, our Savior, Jesus.

“Dear Lord, Your gifts are greater than I can imagine. May I live each day with thanksgiving in my heart and praise on my lips. Thank you for the gift of Your Son and for the promise of eternal life. Let me share the joyous news of Jesus Christ and let my life be a testimony to His love and to His grace. Amen.

1.Pray for your officer or pastor. Give them your support and encouragement and tell them how grateful you are for them and their ministry

2.Pray for our country and for our President right now! As the Lord has promised, prayer will transform our nation by transforming individual lives, one heart at a time.

3.Pray for our Military and their families. Pray that our troops will be encouraged by knowing our prayer for them. Protect them from harm. Protect them and comfort their families.

4.Pray for Salvation Army leaders around the world: General and Commissioner Clifton, Commissioner and Mrs. Gaither; every International and Territorial leader, and that the spirit of Christ will prevail. Pray for our Western Territory’s leaders; Commissioner & Mrs. Swyers, Colonel & Mrs. Harfoot, the THQ Cabinet, staff, Divisional Leaders and staff, ARC and Corps Officers. And pray for those who are under farewell orders to take up new appointments this year.

5.Pray for: God’s healing for; Major Dennis Trimmer’s foot problem require 3 months to one year of wheel chair use. Pray for his healing and that family and staff will be supported during the heavy Christmas season; Major Leticia Saunders, in hospital, Rose Edel 78 years old facing laparoscopic back surgery” (from Katherine B.); for Devon “Kaipo” Yamada in hospital with an infection; Kwai Gasper, in ICU; for Tylene Paia Mala, asking prayer for family needs; Major Cheryl Lo healing of a broken shoulder Capt Robin Bottjen, healing after surgery; Envoy Damaris, medical tests; Noah Jeremy (Philippines) 8 months old, healing after major surgery; Major Angie Medina, medical tests; for Shirley Cota, arthritis; for Wayne, son of Viola, an inoperable tumor; Samantha & Guy; Maria Coreas; Majors Gil and Elvia Roman; Esther J, surgery; for Hope Tregaro, of Monrovia; Samantha, surgery; Marie Henderson, in hospital: Captain Gina Halverson; Major Jennifer Bates, back surgery; Aubree, brain lesions; April, an unknown virus; for James Shull; for Kendra Holly’s father; for Sheryl Callahan’s mother, Malva Farrell; for Bunny Rocha, heart surgery; for Virginia Nieto; for Juanita, daughter of Captain Stephanie Dennis; Captain Michael Johnson; staph infection; Major Joe Thompson; Bill and Carol.

6.Pray for: Captain Vera Villanea undergoing testing in hospital; for Susan Riley’s father, relief from pain; Morene Klotz, mother of Marlene Klotz-Collins recovering from major brain surgery; Fritz Salazar’s (Phoenix ARC), mother, very ill and in need of a heart transplant, Captain Vicki Jackson, surgery; Yvonne’s son-in-law back pain; Paul Wolkersdorfer of Long Beach, CA, broken arm; Alicia, enlarged heart; Burt Stack, hospice care; for Mike and Lisa Schneider; the Humes family; Jeanie Lucas, Dick Wiseman, Lorin & Millie Corlis; for Easter Soli, for Ann; John Boner, Phoenix, in hospital.

7.For Retired officers: Colonel Don Mowery, recovering from surgery; for Mrs. Lt Colonel Elnora McIntyre, in hospital after a fall at home; for Brigadier Ben Nunes, in hospital; for Majors Don and Rachel Bowman’s daughter, Dede in hospital; Major Hardin White, in hospital, San Antonio;, Florida; Major Maddie Rizzi, hearing; for Major Ben Meyer; Major Harold Stromberg; Major Robert Smith; Lt Colonels Lou and Le Roy Pedersen; Mrs. Lt. Colonel Alice Smith; A/Capt Evelyn Smith; Majors Jane and John Horgan; Major Hazel Irby; Brigadier Izzy Boyington; Brigadier Martha Hansen; Major Rusty Tomlinson, and others who have not been well.

8.For those being treated for cancer: Captain Chris Aird, Roseville, CA, thyroid cancer; Barbara Taft of the Long Beach Corps; for Rich Moore’s son-in-law beginning aggressive chemothererapy to treat aggressive leukemia; for Peggy Simmons, liver cancer: Monica Dove, diagnosed with cancer; Cindy Hogman, stage 4 cancer; Capt Vickie Jackson Stage 4 cancer; Cindy Hogman, stage 4 cancer; Dean Steriotis, of Scottsdale, Colonel Dianne Hogan, radiation treatment; for Viola Lujan’s son, Wayne Shaw, diagnosed with Stage 3 melanoma; Brandon Apuan; Joyce (Lobben) Miller, stage 4 cancer; Helga Kenyon; Clarine Reynolds, breast cancer; Sally Schueuer Stage 4 cancer; Ralph Southard; Lisa Schneider; Edith Mike, Jodie; for Tiffany Madsen, for Sherry; for Vince DiGregorio; Ken Bond ; Sam and Mary Sims; Major Dallas Pedersen; Eileen O'Brien; Jacob Galland; Mrs. Captain Sylvia Waldron; and others. Pray for great faith and great healing miracles!

9.For the families of those who have been recently Promoted to Glory: May God give each family and friend a double portion of His Love and Healing.
