CALL TO PRAYER!
The Salvation Army Call to Prayer line for June 18, 2009: Please pray for the following:
1.Pray for the new Lieutenants of the Witnesses for Christ Session, who have received their Ordination, commission as officers, and their first appointment to serve God and The Salvation Army! May God bless them and anoint their ministries!
2.Pray for the Cadets of the Prayer Warriors Session as they take up their summer assignments. May God use their service for the Glory of God across the territory.
3.Pray for our Summer Service Corps who will be serving in several countries for the Glory of God and to bless people of many languages and backgrounds.
4.Pray for General Shaw Clifton and Commissioner Helen Clifton who have had to cancel their visit to the Western Territory due to Doctors advice. May God, the Great Physician give them strength and healing.
5.Pray for Commissioners Israel and Eva Gaither, our National Commander, and Commissioners Philip and Pat Swyers, our Territorial leaders, who will assume the leadership of the soldiers rallies and Officer’s Councils in the Bay Area and Seattle. May many receive Jesus Christ, and many offer themselves for Full Time Service!
6.Pray for President Obama and the Congress as they work toward resolving the nation’s economic well-being and working toward world peace. Pray that they will be given Divine wisdom, sensitivity, and a sense of urgency in these and other needs facing our country and the world.
7.Pray for the victims of human trafficking and the sex trade. The ongoing global financial crisis is forcing millions into extreme poverty and boosting the supply and demand of human trafficking all over the world. Pray that God will intervene and that men and women will exercise moral leadership to end this evil.
8.Pray for our Salvation Army leaders: Commissioner & Mrs. Swyers, Colonels William and Susan Harfoot, the THQ Cabinet, staff, and every Divisional Leader, ARC and Corps Officer.
9.Pray for Commissioner Orval Taylor, who has been transferred to a rehabilitation facility for tests and observation; for Major Eileen Hoogstaad who suffered a seizure in Macon, GA; for Colonel Don Sather healing after suffering an accident; Pray for the father of Accepted Candidate Carlos Armendariz of Phoenix Citadel; Pray for Edith Jenkins recovering from knee surgery; Pray for Juanita, daughter of Captain Stephanie Dennis, and Captain Jeff Dennis, health issues: Pray for Kathy Crusberg, surgery, Emmanuel Henry-John; for Desiree.
10.Pray for Major Jeanne Baker who sustained a fall; Kevin Hylen, son-in-law of Major & Mrs. Sundin; for Ramon Ocano, open heart surgery; and for Ramona Corrales open heart surgery, for Captain Michael Johnson; staph infection; Major Joe Thompson; Bill and Carol; for Walter’s Barado’s brother, Winston.
11.Pray for: Friends of the Army, Mike and Lisa Schneider. Lisa is under Hospice Care; for Major Lois Brooks; for Becky Weiss’s daughter, Rochelle, battling Congenital Myasthenia Syndrome. Pray for Christina Palmer; for Xandra Schmig, 8 year old daughter of Captains Schmig in Sierra Vista; healing for Beka Arnardi; John Larson, TAB Advisory Board member, Diane Docter, Jeanie Lucas, Dick Wiseman, for Lorin & Millie Corlis; for Easter Soli, in hospital due to a stroke; for Ann, healing of a bone infection; Major June Nicloy; for Aux Capt Ligia Ambriz, her daughter and newborn grandson; Daniel Lloyd, Cascade; Sandy Emmons, Cascade DHQ;
12.Pray for Retired officers: for Mrs. Major Margurite Hultin; Major Shirley Goode ; for Major Kay Stoops; Major Robert Smith; Major Marian Hanson; Lt Colonels Lou and Le Roy Pedersen, Mrs. Lt. Colonel Alice Smith; A/Capt Evelyn Smith; Majors Jane and John Horgan; Major Hazel Irby; Brigadier Izzy Boyington; Brigadier Margaret Laverty; Brigadier Martha Hansen; Major Rusty Tomlinson, and others who have not been well.
13.Pray for those being treated for cancer: Lisa Schneider; Edith Mike, Jodie, stage 4 cancer, for Tiffany Madsen, stage 2 and 3 cancer; Vicky’s brother, Richard, of Belgium, a brain tumor; for Sherry; for Vince DiGregorio; Dave West, of Salem; Major Henry Graciani, being treated for Lymphoma cancer; Dom asks for prayer for his boss, Richard Ross, Ken Bond of Phoenix, cancer reoccurrence; Major Ed Ringle chemotherapy; Karen, colon cancer; Sam and Mary Sims; Jewel Menard of San Luis Obispo, Lymphoma; Captain Stephen Sutter, chemo treatments; Dale Hill Jr.; Major Dallas Pedersen; Eileen O'Brien; Jacob Galland; Mrs. Captain Sylvia Waldron; and others. Pray for great faith and great healing miracles!
