TSA Western Territoy Prayer Requests

CALL TO PRAYER
“Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful.” Colossians 4:2, NIV

The Salvation Army Call to Prayer line for January 15, 2009.

(Praise God for “The Miracle Landing on the Hudson” where all 155 airline passengers survived a crash landing on the Hudson River in New York !)

1. General Shaw Clifton has issued a Call to Prayer for the Middle East, for Salvationists around the world to unite in a four week focus on prayer for the people of Israel and Palestine. Innocent ones are suffering; non combatants are paying a high price; Children lie dead and maimed.

“ Let Salvationists of the world re-double their intensity in prayer for this
situation, for the people, for the families, and for the leaders to be
restrained and wise and return to peace. May God grant peace, despite
the long and deeply rooted antipathies in this region of the world.
Thank you for your fidelity in intercessory prayer.
Yours in Christ, Shaw Clifton, General”

2. Continue to pray for those communities who have been hit by extreme weather this month. Rain and high winds have lashed the Northwest and Cascade Divisions. Many communities across the northern states are suffering cold and blizzard conditions. Pray for them and that Salvation Disaster workers will be able to serve the needy in those regions. Pray for the recovery efforts and that there will be no loss of life in these storms.
