TSA Western Territory Prayer Requests

CALL TO PRAYER

The Salvation Army Call to Prayer line for January 29, 2009.

General Shaw Clifton has issued a Call to Prayer for the Middle East, for Salvationists around the world to unite in a four week focus on prayer for the people of Israel and Palestine.
“ Let Salvationists of the world re-double their intensity in prayer for the Middle East, for the people, for the families, and for their leaders to be restrained and wise and return to peace. May God grant peace, despite the long and deeply rooted antipathies in this region of the world. Thank you for your fidelity in intercessory prayer.

1. The first 100 days are crucial to any regime or administration. Pray for President Obama and his administration. Sign up today to participate in “Praying Through the first 100 days 1/20-4/29/09 “ with the Presidential Prayer Team , wwwpresidentialprayerteam.org.

2. Pray for George Mitchell as he serves the new administration as Special Envoy for Middle East Peace. Pray for Godly wisdom and strength, for security and for his safety.

3. As thousands of fans, players, vendors and other flock to Tampa Bay, FL on Sunday, February 1 for Super Bowl XLIII, pray for God’s powerful protection and care and that the entire weekend and all related events will run smoothly and without critical incidents.

4. Pray for wisdom for military leaders and for protection for the men and women serving overseas in the coming months as serve in a great variety of ways around the world-for safety for each one, for encouragement from God and for success in their assignments.

5. Pray for the Salvation Army and it’s leaders: General Shaw Clifton, Commissioner Helen Clifton, Commissioners Israel and Eva Gaither, Commissioners Philip and Pat Swyers, Lt. Colonels William and Susan Harfoot, the THQ Cabinet and staff, and each Divisional Leader, Corps officer and staff.

6. Pray for the protection of children living in troubled parts of the world who are victims of human trafficking and the sex trade

7. Pray for the following: Hannah Danielson, who has returned home after treatment for an unexplained high fever; Sandy Craft, daughter of Majors Ed & Eleanor Henderson, a large tumor on her brain; for the Boyd family and the health of Chris & Jeff’s unborn baby; for Terra Kammerer, Goodyear, diabetes; Major Pat Jolly, health issues, Sedona, granddaughter of Lt. Colonel Ray and Carolyn Peacock; Captain David Allen, who suffered a fall; Major Dennis Trimmer who suffered a bad fall and broke his arm, Major John Turmey who will have surgery on January 28; Major Harryette Raihl, who suffered a recent fall; Angelica for strength, faith and prosperity. For Jonathan, successful heart surgery; Craig of Texas asks for prayerr; Artie, of Santa Clara Corps, health problems; ; Major Thomas Mui, surgery, Major Joe Thompson; Merly A., healing and for her family; Soldiers and friends who are trusting God for healing.

8. Pray for: Majors Jane and John Horgan, seeking an assisted living care; Major Wesley Sundin, exploratory throat surgery; Bill & Carol of Ohio, health and financial needs; Rosemary Abernathy, prayer for her unborn granddaughter diagnosed with lung cysts; Mrs. Lt. Colonel Alice Smith, Lt Colonel Gertrude Angel, Captain Dana Johnson; A/Capt Evelyn Smith; Major Hazel Irby; Brigadier Izzy Boyington; Brigadier Margaret Laverty; Brigadier Martha Hansen; Major Rusty Tomlinson, and other retired officers who have not been well.

9. Pray for those being treated for cancer:

Captain Stephen Sutter chemo treatments; Dale Hill Jr.; Eleanor; Colonel Diane Hogan; Karen Imai; Major Dallas Pedersen; Eileen O'Brien; Jacob Galland; Major Bill Dickinson; Mrs. Captain Sylvia Waldron; Dick Youngworth; Sue Ellen's Mom; and others. Pray for great faith and great healing miracles!

10. Pray for the family and friends of those recently Promoted to Glory: The family of Major Maria Yepez, of Fresno Corps, and others. May God give comfort and healing.

11. Pray for each ARC Beneficiary and their families as they work through to victory over their addictions. “God is Great? All the time!”
