TSA Western Territory Prayer Requests

CALL TO PRAYER
The Salvation Army Call to Prayer line for September 11, 2008. Please pray for the following prayer needs this week:

1. On this week of the anniversary of 9/11, pray for comfort and strength for all who have been impacted by this tragedy; give thanks that there have been no further attacks on our nation since that day. Pray for our nation to be united as we continue to work to keep citizens safe.

2. Pray for those in the path of Hurricane Ike as it moves across the Gulf of Mexico following a devastating impact on Cuba and the other islands in its’ path. Pray that this hurricane will diminish and move away from inhabited land area and pray for preparedness on the part of all in its path.
3. Pray for the safety and protection of Salvationists and fellow Christians in the Orissa area of Northern India who have been under deadly attack by radical Hindu
factions. Fervently pray for peace.
4. Pray for the protection of our military men and women as they continue to serve the cause of freedom and justice around the world and at home. Give thanks for the dedication and sacrifice of each one and their families.
5. Pray for the candidates, “Today, I pray for the candidates running for office, thanking You that You have surrounded each with advisors who consult with them on matters of great importance. O God, may the candidates and those who advise them be schooled in the habit of consulting with You on all things. Let them turn to You at a moment’s notice to ask for wisdom and understanding as they lead. This I ask in Jesus Name.” Pray for Senators Barak Obama, Joe Biden, and for Senator John McCain and Governor Sarah Palin. 6 Pray for the world wide ministry of The Salvation Army and for wisdom and guidance of our leaders: General Shaw Clifton, Commissioner Helen Clifton, Commissioners Israel and Eva Gaither, Commissioners Philip and Pat Swyers, Lt. Colonels William and Susan Harfoot, the THQ Cabinet and staff, and each Divisional Leader and staff.

7. Pray for the thousands of innocent children who live in troubled parts of the world who are victims of human trafficking and the sex trade. General Shaw Clifton has issued a Call to Prayer for Salvationists around the world to join on September 21 in a “Call to Prayer for Peace” (International Day of Peace) and on September 28 for a Call to Prayer for the Victims of sex trade trafficking.”

8. Pray for Catherine Anderson, the three year old daughter of Cadets in the UK, ill with leukemia. http://catherineisgreat.blogspot.com.

12. Pray for those being treated for cancer: “Bend the Knee with the power of 3” is the name of the Prayer Campaign praying 3 minutes each day at 3 pm for Major Sheila Bradley. Pray for a miracle of healing!
