"5 years ago my doctor called me and asked me to immediately come into the emergency room. I knew something was up, but I had no idea how bad it would be. Being diagnosed with a chronic form of Leukemia has changed my life in more ways than I could ever had imagined.
There is so much I want to say about being "less than" because of the treatment but the bottom line is that I am still alive and still able to serve God and my fellow man. So, in other words, I am grateful to be alive despite being a different person than I was five years ago."
