“Tonight, Geraldine had a pretty bad anaphylactic reaction to a new medication she started taking two days ago. We contacted her physicians on call number and they instructed me to take her to the closest ER. When we arrived they immediately took her back and began IV fluids and administered some additional medications.
Her airway has begun to open, so she is breathing better and the swelling of her tongue, throat, and lips is beginning to subside.
Pretty scary couple of hours.
I’m hoping to take her home soon enough to grab a couple of hours sleep before work.
Kettles begin in the morning.”
