The Salvation Army Call to Prayer for April 28 2011

News Flash! The…NATIONAL DAY OF PRAYER…is MAY 5TH Watch for Special Events

LAUNCHING A GLOBAL CALL TO 24/7 PRAYER “A Day and Night Cry for Justice” during the year 2011:
“Dear Lord, we bring before you in prayer people who, at this very moment, are facing danger and persecution because they are your followers. We ask that you will pour out your grace and strength on them so that whatever happens, they will be confident and secure in your love. The Southwest Division is joining this 24-7 Prayer Initiative for the month of April.

1.Pray for the families of the over 283 people who perished and the many who were injured in Alabama and other Southern States in the tornado storms this week. Pray for those who have lost family members, homes, and jobs in the devastating tornados. Pray for speedy recovery and clean-up efforts and for God’s comfort. Pray for our Salvation Army disaster relief crews and volunteers and for resources to cover losses..

2.Pray for the people of the Middle Eastern countries, who continue to experience riots and violence. Pray for a just and lasting peace.

3.Pray for the leaders of our Nation; for the President, the Congress; and for our military men and women and their families; give them divine protection and guidance in their personal lives and in their service for America.

4.Pray for God’s blessing upon General Linda Bond, and each International and National Leader and for our Western Territorial leaders, Commissioners James and Carolyn Knaggs, Colonels William and Susan Harfoot, Lt Colonels Ron and Pam Strickland, Lt. Colonels David and Sharron Hudson, Lt. Colonel Judy Smith, the THQ Staff, Divisional Leaders, ARC Officers, your Corps Officers, the Cadets, and our Employees

5.Pray for officers and their families who will soon be on the move to new appointments or retirement.

6.Pray for the ARC Programs; Including Administrative staff, employees, beneficiaries, volunteers, donors and shoppers.

7.Pray for healing for; Bob Lucas, Pasadena Tab, in ICU; Yvonne Meadows, needing surgery; Matt; Peter Daab; Catalina; Sofia heart surgery; Dorothy Nelson, in hospital, sister of Major Ernie Clevett: Roland Perry’s wife, Valerie, receiving Chemo treatments; Brigadier Robert Yardley, healing and comfort after several falls; Major Kevin & Tammy Ray’s daughter in law’s father, diagnosed with pancreatic cancer; Virginia Nieto; Jody Wildeboer’s uncle; Major Elvia Roman recovering from surgery; Captain Ronnie Davis’s brother and his nephew’s little girl; Austin Sullivan; Major Deanna Sholin’s mother, Mrs. Gail Wiggins, recovering from a fall; Priscilla’s mother; Jane Brown; for Mary Kyle; for Dave Marquez; Gail Stewart; Jim Horgen , poor health; Captain David Leonard, healing from shoulder surgery

8.Pray for; Esther’s granddaughter Aaliyah, in hospital being treated for an infection; Captain Les Spousta’s mother Mary, and his father Les, his daughters, Christianne and Ralauni and husband, Dwayne, and his granddaughters, Jayce and Kamia Smith for good medical care and healing; for Patty; Laura’s son, Chad, liver transplant rejection; for James Shull; for Sheryl Callahan’s mother; Gail V. for heart problems; David Robinson, healing .

9.Pray for healing for 2 year old Max, the grandson of Rosemarie and Brian Abernethy, postponed lung surgery; for Major Ruth Sundin’s brother, David Hopkins, in hospice, and for his wife, Diane, who is not well.; for Chris W. for healing from a bad fall, for Major Ron Wildman asks for prayer for his brother in Idaho; Captain Sylvia Waldron; the Spencers, Ricardo Manzano; Stephen Yalden: for Elona and Ricardo Manzano and for Elona Hinton; Captain Kory Acosta; Pray for Lt. Eric Rudd, spinal surgery; Joan McKinnon and her family.

13.Pray for the family of Rev David Wilkerson, founder of Teen Challenge, and for his wife Gwen injured in the same accident; Pray for the family of Mary Luttrell, sister of Commissioner Bill Luttrell, from Greely Colorado; for Dee Doxsee, mother of Captain Roberta McKinney; for Major Isobel Robinson, who lost her dad from cancer; for Colonel William Harfoot who lost his brother; pray for Captain Debra Davis, who lost her grandfather; Major Kevin Ray’s father; Major Ivy Hood, in the loss of her mother; Major Carolyn Storey and her son, Bill, in the loss of her brother, Rick Witcher; Captain Timothy Hisu’s mother; Virginia; and Major Flo Murray’s sister. May God give His comfort and care for each family member.
