TSA Western Territory Prayer Requests

CALL TO PRAYER!

The Salvation Army Call to Prayer for April 22 2010

Today is an incredible time in our nation’s history. The very mention of God, of praying in public, the role of Almighty God in our government and country, are being stripped away.

U.S. District Judge Barbara Crabb last week issued a decision that the 1988 Federal law designating a National Day of Prayer in the United States is unconstitutional.

1.Pray for this year’s National Day of Prayer on May 6. Join with other churches in your city. There will be prayer vigils in Washington D.C. on the steps of the U.S Capitol, at the Washington Monument, near Jefferson Memorial, and in your local community.. Add your name to the Declaration for Prayer petitions by e-mailing: Info@Presidential PrayerTeam.org

2.Pray for President Obama and his Administration. May they be sensitive to the needs of Americans and the world and be guided by God to make wise and sensitive decisions.

3.Pray that the President will respond with courage and sensitivity by declaring May 6 as National Day of Prayer for all who believe in a Higher Power and the value and power of prayer!

4.Pray for those fighting the war against terrorism and for the safety of our military menand women fighting for freedom in Afghanistan and around the world. Pray also for their families, who give great personal sacrifices.

5.Pray for The Salvation Army and our Leaders: General Shaw and Commissioner Helen Clifton, Commissioners Gaither; each International Leader, for Western Territorial leaders; Commissioners Philip and Patricia Swyers, Colonels William and Susan Harfoot, the THQ Cabinet and Staff, Divisional Leaders, ARC Officers, Corps Officers, Cadets and Employees And pray for Commissioners James and Carolyn Knaggs, designated Western Territorial leaders effective July 1, 2010.
