TSA Western Territory Prayer Requests

CALL TO PRAYER!

The Salvation Army Call to Prayer for December 10, 2009, 2009.

This week begins with the Third Sunday in Advent. With the coming of the long-awaited Messiah the world catches a new and wonderful glimpse of God the Father. He loves us! “Surely God is my salvation; I will trust and not be afraid. The Lord, the Lord, is my strength and my song; He has become my salvation” Is 12: 2

1. Pray that the many who look to the Salvation Army this Christmas will receive food, toys and spiritual help. Pray for all who are involved in providing Christmas cheer.

2.Pray for our country and for our President. Great problems of our country and the world fall on the shoulders of our President. Regardless of political persuasion, we need to lift him, his family, his administration, and Congress, before the Lord for wisdom, grace and protection.

3.Pray for our Military and their families. Cover our troops and their families with prayer. Protect them and encourage their families, during this Christmas Season..

4.Continue to pray for the victims of the human trafficking and sex trade. Children and adults are being exploited and murdered in this world- wide tragedy.

5.Pray for our Salvation Army leaders: General and Commissioner Clifton, Commissioner and Mrs. Gaither; every International and Territorial leader. Pray for our Western Territorial leaders; Commissioner & Mrs. Swyers, Colonel & Mrs. Harfoot, the THQ Cabinet and staff, and our Divisional Leaders, ARC and Corps Officers. As we come into this Christmas Season may each know the love, strength and protection of our Heavenly Father!

6.Pray for God’s healing for: Joel Wycoff, Art Wycoff’s son and for Joel’s father in law, health issues; for Major Dennis Trimmer. His foot problems require him to use a wheel chair for several weeks. And pray for his wife, Diana who is under Doctors care for pain, nausea and pressure. Pray for their healing and for their staff during this heavy Christmas season; for Captain Tom Fenton of Broomfield, CO, ; Major Leticia Saunders, in hospital; Rose Edel, recovering from surgery (from Katherine B.); for Devon “Kaipo” Yamada in hospital with an infection; Kwai Gasper, in ICU; for Tylene Paia Mala, asking prayer for family needs; Major Cheryl Lo healing of her shoulder Capt. Robin Bottjen, healing after surgery; for Shirley Cota, arthritis; for Wayne, son of Viola, an inoperable tumor; Samantha & Guy; Maria Coreas; Majors Gil and Elvia Roman; Esther J, surgery; for Hope Tregaro, Samantha, surgery; Marie Henderson, in hospital: Captain Gina Halverson; Major Jennifer Bates, back surgery; Aubree, brain lesions; April, an unknown virus; for James Shull; for Kendra Holly’s father; for Sheryl Callahan’s mother, Malva Farrell; for Bunny Rocha, heart surgery; for Virginia Nieto; for Juanita, daughter of Captain Stephanie Dennis; Captain Michael Johnson; staph infection; Major Joe Thompson; Bill and Carol.; for those facing divorce proceedings, and that Nitan’s application for college will be approved.

7.Pray for: Captain Vera Villanea health issues ; for Susan Riley’s father, relief from pain; Morene Klotz, mother of Marlene Klotz-Collins; Fritz Salazar’s (Phoenix ARC), mother, very ill and in need of a heart transplant, Captain Vicki Jackson, surgery; Yvonne’s son-in-law back pain; Alicia, enlarged heart; Burt Stack, hospice care; for Mike and Lisa Schneider; the Humes family; Jeanie Lucas, Dick Wiseman, Lorin & Millie Corlis; for Easter Soli, for Ann; John Boner; Chaplain Michael Lopez, and for Dave S. For the healing of Captain Les Spousta’s father, Les Sr., 81 years, admitted to hospital in Massachusetts

8.For Retired officers: Major Les Brooks in poor health and in hospital; Majors Bob and Jean Anderson, health issues; Mrs. Major Vera Elliot ; for Mrs. Lt Colonel Elnora McIntyre; for Brigadier Ben Nunes; for Majors Don and Rachel Bowman’s daughter, Dede in hospital; Major Maddie Rizzi, hearing; for Major Ben Meyer; Major Harold Stromberg; Major Robert Smith; Lt Colonels Lou and Le Roy Pedersen; Mrs. Lt. Colonel Alice Smith; A/Capt Evelyn Smith; Majors Jane and John Horgan; Major Hazel Irby; Brigadier Izzy Boyington; Brigadier Martha Hansen; Major Rusty Tomlinson, and others who have not been well.

Pray for great faith and great healing miracles!

10.For the families of those recently Promoted to Glory: Marian Hood, survived by her eight children: Major Ralph Hood Jr., Charlotte Kinney, Major James Hood, Walter Hood, Mary Bauer, Darold Hood, Pam Dell’Olio, Roberta Cope, fifteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Pray for Laurie’s family. May God give each family and friend a double portion of His Love and Healing.
