TSA Territorial Prayer Requests

COME JOIN OUR ARMY!
CALL TO PRAYER!

The Salvation Army Call to Prayer line for May 14, 2009: Please pray for the following:

1.For Salvation Army Week, May 11-17, Commissioner Israel Gaither sent a challenging letter to all USA Salvationists. In it he stated, ”I am convinced that America needs The Salvation Army. We are an anchor institution in this Nation and we must never compromise who we are and what we stand for…..thank you for demonstrating the Call on your life to be a server of others – for a larger Kingdom purpose.” Pray that our leaders will be given courage, insight, and inspiration to guide the Salvation Army to always be servers of others for the larger Kingdom purpose.”

2.As the nation pauses to observe Armed Forces Day this Saturday, May 16, give thanks for all who serve our country through military service at every level in every branch. Pray for safely and protection from God, for families who struggle with absent parents and multiple deployments, and pray for those who lead our troops to have God’s wisdom and grace.

3.Pray for President Obama and his advisors as they consider decisions to benefit our country and the world. May God give our leaders an eternal perspective on their season of leadership, with a strong desire to seek God’s wisdom and grace. May divine wisdom and protection be given to our leaders!

4.Pray for the women and children who are victims of human trafficking and the sex trade. These evil practices are not confined to countries beyond our shores, but there are victims in our own country as well. Pray that they will have the protection of God.

5.Pray for our Salvation Army leaders: General Shaw Clifton, Commissioner Helen Clifton, Commissioners Israel and Eva Gaither, Commissioners Philip and Pat Swyers, Colonels William and Susan Harfoot, the THQ Cabinet, staff, and every Divisional Leader, ARC and Corps Officer.


6.Pray for the following: Major John Web, scheduled for triple by-pass surgery on Friday; for Major Mrs. Kay Stoops, very ill and in pain after recent surgery; Major Dennis Trimmer, re-admitted to the hospital; for Major Ida Gomez recovering at home on oxygen; Major Carol Ganot, in hospital for back surgery, For A/Captain Elsie Lantz ; for Virginia Nieto, health issues; Ann, healing for a chronic bone disease; Captain Michael Johnson; staph infection; Laura, “a sister in Christ” healing from depression, anxiety and low self- worth; Chris & Jeff Boyd’s unborn baby; for Terra Kammerer, diabetes; Major Joe Thompson; Merly’s family and her healing; Bill and Carol, grieving over loss of son, health and financial needs; and for soldiers and friends who are trusting God for healing and his mercy and care. For Pat’s friend, Jeff, who needs a job.

7.Pray for: for Becky Weiss of the Cascade Division and for the healing of her daughter, Rochelle, battling Congenital Myasthenia Syndrome. Pray for Christina Palmer, the daughter of Glenda and Michael, who fell from a second story condo; she faces huge medical costs for reconstructive surgery and care. Pray for Xandra Schmig, 8 year old daughter of Captains Schmig in Sierra Vista; healing for Beka Arnardi, a new mom, who has paralysis after removal of a spinal tumor; John Larson, TAB Advisory Board member, Diane Docter, Jeanie Lucas, Dick Wiseman, for Lorin & Millie Corlis; for Easter Soli, in hospital due to a stroke; for Ann, healing of a bone infection; Major June Nicloy; for Aux Capt Ligia Ambriz, her daughter and newborn grandson, Davis; Major Diana Trimmer, diverticulitis; Daniel Lloyd, Cascade, recovering from surgery; Sandy Emmons, Cascade DHQ, stroke recovery, Major Nancy Dihle’s mother, recovering from surgery.

8.Pray for Retired officers: Major Robert Smith; Major Marian Hanson, stomach tumor blockage; Major Mick Souders, in hospital in Roseburg; Lt Colonels Lou and Le Roy Pedersen, Mrs. Lt. Colonel Alice Smith; A/Capt Evelyn Smith; Majors Jane and John Horgan; Major Hazel Irby; Brigadier Izzy Boyington; Brigadier Margaret Laverty; Brigadier Martha Hansen; Major Rusty Tomlinson, and others who have not been well.

9.Pray for those being treated for cancer: Jodie, from Mesa, with stage 4 cancer, that she be given courage, comfort and healing; for Tiffany Madsen, daughter of Majors Glen and Linda Madsen and sister to Captain Matt Madsen, stage 2 and 3 cancer; Vicky’s brother, Richard, of Belgium, radiation for a brain tumor and that he will find Christ; Robin asks for prayer for her sister-in-law, Sherry; Pray for Vince DiGregorio; Dave West, of Salem; Major Henry Graciani, being treated for Lymphoma cancer; Dom asks for prayer for his boss, Richard Ross, Ken Bond of Phoenix, cancer reoccurrence; Major Ed Ringle chemotherapy; Karen, colon cancer; Michelle Solts; C.P. Yang-Looker, brain tumor; Sam and Mary Sims; Jewel Menard of San Luis Obispo, Lymphoma; Captain Stephen Sutter, chemo treatments; Dale Hill Jr.; Major Dallas Pedersen; Eileen O'Brien; Jacob Galland; Mrs. Captain Sylvia Waldron; Dick Youngworth; Sue Ellen's Mom; Harley Plumlee of Arkansas, and others. Pray for great faith and great healing miracles!

10.Pray for the family and friends of those recently Promoted to Glory: for Melba Mahr, mother of Major Ted Mahr and Kit Hoss; Blanch Strout; mother of Major Brenda Hathorne. May God cover each one with His love and comfort.

11.Praying now for the visit of the General and the Commissioning of Cadets, June 12-19. May Jesus Christ be Glorified!
