Franklin G. - Charlie Kirk RIP

What a tragedy. It has been announced that Charlie Kirk has died after being shot during an event at Utah Valley University today. This young man loved his country and invested his time and energy in trying to make it the best it could be. He stood boldly for conservative values and defended free speech for all of us. Most importantly, Charlie loved the Lord Jesus Christ. Pray for his wife Erika, their two young children, and all of their family. It’s in these moments of darkness that we need to stand on the Scripture that Erika shared on social media, “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble” (Psalm 46:1).

Kathryn O. - Vehicle Accident

Well today definitely could’ve gone very differently for me than it did. I’m grateful I walked away from this accident with just some bumps and bruises. I was hit by an intoxicated driver who lost control of their car and came three lanes over to me on my way to band practice tonight. I’m extremely grateful for the safety features of my car and to this beast of a vehicle that barely budged when hit by a vehicle going 60+mph. I will forever be driving a Subaru.

Amy M. - Jaylyns Update

9/8 Update on Jaylyn 💔

As a mother, there are no words that truly capture what it feels like to watch your child go through something like this. Jaylyn went into cardiac arrest, and we are now back in the ICU. She’s currently on life support while her little body tries to recover. CT scan from the cranioplasticy looks normal.

The doctors still haven’t been able to tell us why this happened. We ask questions, we advocate fiercely for her, and we fight for answers—but right now, we are stuck in the unknown. And the unknown is terrifying.

We are doing everything we can to stay strong, to stay hopeful—but I’ll be honest, our faith feels shaken in the middle of this storm. We are trying. We are praying. We are clinging to what we can, but this is hard. So hard.

Please continue to lift Jaylyn up in your prayers. We need all the love, strength, and support we can get right now. 💔🙏

Erin K. - Husbands Leg and Health

☺️I would like to take a moment to acknowledge my husband, David. Almost two years ago, a doctor reviewed an x-ray and informed him that his hip was stage 4, requiring replacement. The past year has been extremely challenging, with his daily life severely impacted. He is unable to drive, relies on crutches, endures constant pain, and can only sit for about an hour at a time. Additionally, he sleeps in 45-minute increments. Fortunately, he is scheduled for surgery on September 24, and we are so grateful for this development. However, if a cancellation occurs, he will be the first on the list. Can you join me in praying for an available spot to open up? We have several commitments at the end of September that we would like to attend. 🫶🏼❤️

When life feels overwhelming, help me remember that my strength is found in You. Amber O. - Schoolwork

I am asking for prayer, it is inevitable, I have to get my hours done (and no season as an officer is ideal) so we might as well just get’er done. This marks the finishing of my third social practice which now starts my field placement for my BSW. This requirement over the next six months is for me to complete 400 hours as an intern, plus any of the schoolwork that goes along with it. This averages to about 17 hours a week, some weeks I can do more, which would allow me to do less during other weeks. I am an anxious person and I’m freaking out.

Day 19 8/23: SHE IS OUT OF ICU! 🥳

Her vitals are stable, she no longer has the EVD, and she is breathing on her own with the Trach. Now we just wait for the brain swelling to go down so that she can come out of the a coma!

Day 15 8/19: Today we had a few set backs from our recovery plan. She was suppose to get her EVD (External Ventricular Drain) removed but due to excessive swelling underneath the skull, another CT scan will be done tomorrow to try and figure out the cause. That also pushed back the plans to have the staples removed. But with all of today’s setbacks, we will take the best win of the day. Even though she has the trach, she was weaned off the breathing machine today, and is breathing on her own! YAHHHH!!! Because she is still not coherent/ awake she’s breathing through the trech tube!

I just received a call from Desa about Pastor Dennis. With a heavy heart, I need to share that he’s in the final stages of his journey here on earth. The hospice nurse says it could be just a couple of hours, or maybe a couple of days.

Let’s surround them with the kind of love that heaven recognizes, lifting them up before the throne of grace with compassion, mercy, and faith.

Heavenly Father, we lift up Pastor Dennis and Desa to You right now. We thank You for the life, the love, and the ministry that has touched so many. Wrap them in Your peace that passes all understanding. Let Dennis feel Your presence and hear heaven’s welcome, and let Desa feel the arms of the Comforter around her. Todays prayer card day 7: We had a few set backs with her developing pneumonia. But as I was getting ready to leave the hospital (her dad and I switch off staying the night with her) Leaving her is always the hardest part of the day! Her machines started beeping with her oxygen dropping a bit, I paused and waited for the nurse to arrive. While we were still with her the nurse did her hourly stimulant test. I figured Gisella Gonzales and I would stay a few minutes past the visitors hours to see how she react. While doing her stimulation exercises she opened her eyes a bit longer then usual and fluttered her beautiful eyelashes at us. I see you baby girl!!🥰

 Our son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth & Tylor Santiago welcomed twins born 3 weeks early.  Even as preemies they are both healthy.  Kenson Jose Lawai’aona’olukai (fisherman of the peaceful waters) and Skylynn Olivia Ke’alohilani (the shimmering heavens) were born on July 22, 2025, at 4:39pm. They both are now 4 lbs.

TSA Bulletin - Kris' health

 Prayer is requested on behalf of Majors Kris and Terry Suarez.  After undergoing surgery to remove kidney stones, Kris experienced excessive bleeding and pain.  He spent 5 days in the hospital and then was sent to a Rehab Facility.  Because of what his body went through he has lost the ability to stand and walk.  He is now working on regaining his strength and mobility. The Suarez’s are thankful for the support and prayers of family and friends.  We are reminded of God’s grace and mercy as we see improvements every day.  We would request your continued prayer support.  

TSA Bulletin - Ken P. and Jennie P. daughter - C Section Tomorrow

 Courtney (P.) Hauer, daughter of Majors Ken and Jenni P. will be having a c-section on Tuesday August 12 (5 weeks early).  Courtney has been on bed rest for several months and in the hospital for the past month. Please pray specifically that she does not hemorrhage too much during the procedure and that if a blood transfusion is necessary (high likelihood)  it goes smoothly with no complications.  Thank you for your prayers.

Prayer Warriors!!!!! My daughter Jaylyn was in a serious car accident on her way to work this morning! She has severe brain swelling and is going into surgery now! In JESUS NAME I PRAY FOR MIRACLES HEALING!!

Update: Surgery went well. They are going keep her in induced accoma until the swelling goes down for them to know the extent of her injuries. She will remain in ICU until we know more.

Day 2 update: She has been peacefully resting today. She will continue on life support until the swelling in her brain has subside. We found out today that she also has a punctured right lung, so keeping her sadated will help heal her organs. We have such amazing staff at Highland Trama center! I couldnt be more thankful to know shes being taken Care of by great doctors.

Well, it’s Jackie’s turn. Unfortunately, she was admitted to the hospital last night. I won’t go into the details of her diagnosis, but she underwent a procedure at 11 pm. Thankfully, it appears to have been successful. However, she’s not particularly thrilled about being confined to a hospital bed. If you know my mom, you’ll understand. I’ll get more information today. Please keep my mother in your prayers.

Day 5 8/8: Today was a busy day for Jaylyn! Although she remains on life support to help her with breathing and inflammation to the brain. She had an CT scan done today that showed the same as Wednesday and an MRI done late this evening. They have reduced her sadation levels. When given stimulations test she trys to open her eyes! UpDate on our son Jason:

The surgery went went and he went home this last Monday morning. Then on Wednesday he began having complications. To make a long story short he is back in the hospital and has a very rare form of C-Diff - a very contagious infection that is in his small intestines (regular C-Diff is in the colon). He is being treated and has turned the corner. Please pray for complete healing of this infection as well as for the abcess that started this recent chain of events. He has literally praised through this especially through the scary parts of Wednesday. We are going to NC on a planned trip but may not be able to see him face to face as he is not allowed any visitors for at least a week. We will also try to see as many of you that live in that area as possible too.

We are saddened and shocked by the news that Kelsey Pearce has passed away. His parents, children, family, and church community have been mourning this tragedy. There will be a Celebration of Life held at the Phoenix Kroc Center (another service will also be held in Sacramento for family out of state). The service will also be streamed.

Kelsey touched many lives, and the family is deeply grateful for the love and prayers they have received. In lieu of flowers, we encourage donations in Kelsey’s honor to one of the following:

CBN - Syria Situation

A persecution watchdog is sounding the alarm as the situation in Syria appears to be deteriorating for minority groups like the Druze and Alawites. Joel Veldkamp, head of international communications at Christian Solidarity International (CSI), told CBN News that Syrian government forces have gone after these groups, killing innocents in the process. The most recent incursion unfolded last week and had deadly consequences. "Syrian government forces have once again launched an attack on religious minority populations – this time against the Druze, a religious group which makes up about 3% of Syria’s population, and who are considered heretics by jihadist groups," CSI wrote in a statement. "Between July 14 and July 18, Syria’s Islamist-controlled government sent troops to occupy Suwayda province, a mountainous region of southern Syria where the majority of the population is Druze. Upon entering population centers in the province, government troops carried out numerous atrocities." This violence might not have been limited only to the Druze population. While details are still unclear about motives and precise details, Khaled Mazhar, the pastor of the Good Shepherd Evangelical Church in Suwayda city, was killed alongside 11 other family members. "We're still putting together the details on what exactly happened, but we know that Pastor Khaled Mazhar was attacked by armed fighters sometime last week in Soweda City," Veldkamp said. "He, and his wife, and his children, and several other of his relatives — 12 people in all — were all killed. And there's a 13th person who survived only because they thought that she was dead, basically." While the Druzes were the main target, he said government fighters sometimes kill Christians along the way, especially when they are going after other minority groups. "This violence is not something that can be restricted to one community," Veldkamp said. "It's going to spread, and it's going to affect Christians as well." His warning is one to heed, as Syrian Christians are reportedly fearful over how they could soon be treated, especially after Ahmed al-Sharaa — a former Al-Qaeda leader — rose to power to become ruler after the ousting of Bashar al-Assad. Despite al-Sharaa's pledge to treat minorities well, the incursion against the Druzes and other past issues show that actions might not align with words and pledges. Reuters - 31 people dead

DHAKA, July 22 (Reuters) - Police used tear gas to disperse angry students in Bangladesh on Tuesday who demanded answers from the interim government after an air force fighter jet crashed into a Dhaka school and killed 31 people, at least 25 of them children.

The children, many aged under 12, were about to return home from class on Monday when the Chinese-manufactured F-7 BGI Bangladesh Air Force jet ploughed into their school and burst into flames, trapping pupils in the fire and debris.

Marleas’ Uncle

Jason S. - Surgery/Recovery/Health

Hello all! I would appreciate your prayers today as I am scheduled for a colostomy and hernia surgery today. About a month and a half ago I had a small umbilical hernia appear (happens in about 25% of post-surgical cases involving the gut). Then 10 days ago I started feeling really bad and ended up in the ER and then admitted to the hospital for what has been deemed a post-surgical leakage from the colon repair 4 months ago. The doctors tried treating it with bowel rest and antibiotics but my body did not respond enough. So a temporary ileostomy/colostomy has been scheduled to allow my colon to fully heal up. After 3 months the goal is to reverse. So I would greatly appreciate your prayers that all would go well today and that I will be able to adjust to my new reality. Over the last couple days I've been sitting here reading, listening to music, and praying. My heart is at peace. May it all be for His glory.

Praise: We are grateful to God for a successful IFAS training in the Territory, which took place over three weeks in March 2025. The event brought with it a sense of transparency, accountability, and commitment.

We thank God for safe travels for all the women from the Territory who attended the West African Women’s Congress in Ghana.

We praise God for successful territorial self-denial ingathering on 18 May 2025 that brought together Salvationists from all demarcations of the Territory.

Erin W. mom surgery and recovery

My mom fractured her femur after tripping and falling when at the Phoenix Airport while waiting at their gate this morning — they were traveling back to Colorado from my cousin’s memorial which we were at just yesterday. (I came back last night.) She is in surgery now (4:35 PM) and it should last about 2-3 hours.

Please pray for my mom and for my dad who is with her.

I was in a serious crash this morning on my way to MIA. I was taken by ambulance to the #VAmedicalcenter in #miami. After lots of CT scans, Xrays, ECG, and a variety of other tests, I was sent home. The morphine has worn off and everything hurts - head to toe! But I am incredibly #blessed that it wasn't worse! My truck - my Baby - is totalled! No pics yet. Need sleep and lots of prayer. Please keep me in your prayers. Days like today, Pacific Northwest weather is not my friend. My body is fighting me wicked hard today. Been sick the previous 2 days and then today the weather triggered my arthritis which in turn upset the Fybro and the Autoimmune. I made it to the office, but each tasks feels like an uphill battle. I also need to stay healthy for a hopeful knee replacement in possibly 3 weeks. Please pray extra hard that the replacement happens near or on the projected date of June 10th.

Steve S. Update

“Remember, our Message is not about ourselves; we proclaim Jesus Christ, the Master.”  “It started when God said, ‘Light up the darkness!’ and our lives filled up with light as we saw and understood God in the face of Christ, all bright and beautiful.”  2 Cor. 4:5-6, The Message.    “We carry this precious Message around in the unadorned clay pots of our ordinary lives… We’ve been surrounded and battered by troubles, but we’re not demoralized…We’ve been thrown down, but we haven’t broken,”  2 Cor. 4:7-9 (selected), The Message. Three months ago, we reported that we were well in the Spirit but were having a bit of a setback physically. The news we received was a lot to absorb all at one time, BUT God was so faithful and so present to us through this time. You prayed – God answered. We have many answered prayers to report.   Answer #1. Anne underwent a double mastectomy on February 14, which was completely successful. The outlook for cancer-free living for the rest of her life is excellent.   Answer #2. Our son, Jason, completed immunotherapy prior to having surgery on March 12 to remove a malignant tumor in his colon. He has since been pronounced cancer-free.    Answer #3. Our daughter, Amy, had help taking care of us both for a couple weeks when Anne’s sister flew down from northern Virginia to assist in our care.    Answer #4. The above caption, “…surrounded and battered, but not demoralized…thrown down, but not broken,”describes my journey up to this point. I was able to quit wearing my sling two months ago but I’m still undergoing physical therapy to rehabilitate my surgically repaired shoulder. Most days the pain is constant and intense. However, I do detect a slight but definite and favorable turn for the better.    I just had a follow up visit with my surgeon this morning. He told me that I was not quite halfway through the recovery phase. He stressed that I needed to be patient because the recovery is slow. Then he ordered six more weeks of physical therapy, with more likely to come. The result is I will not be able to travel to Guam and Micronesia for the rest of the year. And because of the constant pain, it’s also been difficult for me to work at my laptop and properly coordinate all the activity and communication needed with key church leaders, disciples, and other Liebenzell missionaries in Micronesia and the Pacific Rim.    Answer #5. God has graciously called a veteran missionary out of retirement to travel to Micronesia for me this year and with me next year. Bill Schuit has spent numerous years in Micronesia and knows the islands well. I am extremely grateful for Bill’s assistance for the next couple of years. He is a true and valued friend and brother in the Lord.    Meanwhile, Anne and I have still been able to continue the online Zoom training we do with stateside Micronesians every Saturday. Keep praying for that too.   We remain humbled to “carry this precious Message” with the support of such a faithful team.
