Colleen R. - Call to Prayer
Dear Friends,
Beginning this first Wednesday of September, the 7th, we will have a Territorial Day of Prayer and Fasting. On the first Wednesday of each month, we will be calling the Territory to prayer and fasting with a focused area of prayer throughout the year.
Each month, you will receive a note of encouragement to share with your congregation and with those you share ministry. Fasting looks different for different individuals. Perhaps you are unable to fast from food. But you can fast from other things; electronics, social media, etc., whatever it is that takes your focus from prayer and time with God.
There is power in prayer. There is power in praying together for the same focus. This month we will be fasting and praying for REVIVAL In His Church, in this Western Territory! We believe that God wants revival in the hearts of all believers and that men and women, and boys and girls need Jesus more than ever. You and I need Jesus more than ever. Let’s pray together for spiritual revival in The Salvation Army and in the Western Territory.
As the date gets closer, I will share a few ideas and helps on fasting, should you need it to share with your congregations.
Thank you for being in this together. God is alive and well! We can’t wait to see what He will do in and through the faithfulness of His children as we lift our hearts and prayers to God.
Please feel free to be in contact with me, should you have any questions.
Blessings,
Colleen
