Sam F. - Home Coming in Glory

Please pray for Sam's family during this difficult time of lose. Sam went to be with our Lord on Tues 3/8 in the afternoon. Sam was a wonderful godly man who served many roles, including Pastoring, on the island of Yap. I grew up knowing Sam. He was the first one who shared with me about the importance of reading the Bible. I remembered him having family devotional during our breakfast at his home. This was not a typical devotional where we read a page out of a devotional book; it was a mini Bible study where he read and taught. He wanted us to know the Lord and His Word. I have many memories of him: going fishing (both line and spear fishing), test Lubuw and I on our multiplication table, building an extension of his home, going to Evangelical church in Yap, riding in his jeep, visiting Lubuw and I in Guam, and much much more. Infused in all of these experiences was his jokes and contagious laughter. Sam, you will always be in our hearts, and we will miss you. May God comfort your family and friends during this difficult time. We'll see you later in Glory!

Hawaii Business Conference

All Salvation Army Officers and Staff leaders will be meeting at Camp Homelani in Oahu tomorrow and Wednesday. Please pray for a smooth meeting. Ask our Lord for guidance and wisdom. Praise the Lord for this opportunity to meet.

"Update on my Daddy: He has shown just the slightest bit of improvement today.  Not enough to necessarily say he's going to be okay but enough to give me continued hope.  Most of the time I feel confident that God will bring him through.  Other times I have to dig deep to believe.  No matter what, I know he is in the hands of God, the one who loves him more than even me (and that's a lot!).  That is where I find my comfort and peace.  Keep praying friends! ❤️"

Up at 4 am to make sure we are packed and ready to move on to our next part of our journey, the life and ministry of Paul in Turkey. Say a little prayer for me, skin flared a bit so took prednisone to help calm the body down.

Will you please pray for Charlie? He's been sick for a week, out of school with bronchitis. He was just diagnosed with pneumonia. I hate seeing my little guy sick and he's missing lots of school!!

Traded my trip to Vegas for the WPPI conference for a few nights at Straub hospital with a Diamond Head view. I had emergency gall bladder removal surgery yesterday. So not going anywhere right now. 😴 My mom is at VA Respite Care, where she was going to be staying when I was gone to LV, NV anyway.  God had good plan as always... so glad this episode didn't happen on the plane or while in Las Vegas. This was going to be the first time I could attend a big photography industry event since becoming a pro photog in the last 5 years. It's a bummer, I am blessed by all the prayers, well wishes, messages and texts... love you all. Keep praying still sore from the surgery and just needing time to recover. At least now the problem is GONE! Just blessed...
